What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have cared for cats all my life, both my own and those of friends and neighbors. While this is my first time offering cat sitting professionally, I bring years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of feline behavior, and I’m truly excited to begin this new chapter.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I truly love cats and enjoy everything about being around them. Each one has a unique and beautiful personality, and I love getting to know them, understanding their needs, and caring for them with patience and affection. I especially enjoy building trust and creating a connection with them. It also means a lot to me to help cat owners feel at ease, knowing their cats are safe, loved, and well cared for while they are away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats, Karishma and Luna. Karishma is very playful and curious—she loves sunbathing and playing, and she’s not afraid of anything. When people visit, she usually greets them and is not shy at all. Luna, on the other hand, is more timid and a little chubby. She doesn’t like strangers and usually stays in my room, but she loves being gently petted. They both sleep with me, are very affectionate, and I truly enjoy spending time with them.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would recommend choosing someone who truly loves cats and understands their unique personalities. Cats are very sensitive and individual, so it’s important to find a sitter with real experience who can adapt to different temperaments, respect their boundaries, and create a calm, safe, and caring environment.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure safety by keeping windows and doors securely closed and removing access to any harmful substances or toxic plants. I also check for small objects that could be swallowed and avoid leaving out strings, cords, or threads that cats could get tangled in. I make sure there are no fragile items that could break and cause injury, maintaining a clean, calm, and safe environment at all times.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, I am usually available during holidays and understand how important it is for cats to receive consistent, loving care during those times.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I enjoy toys that stimulate a cat’s natural hunting instincts while allowing them to actually “catch” something. I’m not a big fan of laser toys, since they can be frustrating for some cats. I’ve found that simple plastic springs are a favorite—they’re safe, inexpensive, and cats love chasing and catching them as they bounce unpredictably.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I give timid cats space, move gently, and let them approach me, creating a calm environment and building trust slowly.
