My name is Madi and I am a crazy cat lady (in the best way) :) Growing up, I have always lived with cats, they have easily become my favorite animal and I just love them all so much. I’m a mom to 2 of my own that I adopted, Binx and Leo. I have had them for 10 years and they are my favorite boys in the whole world! My dream is to rescue all the kitties and run a cat sanctuary so all the cats in the world could feel safe and loved and then I really would be a crazy cat lady... Hi there!

I treat all animals with love, as if they were my own and I would love nothing more than to take care of yours while you are away giving you updates, photos, and peace of mind :)
My availability is pretty flexible and I am local to the St. Petersburg area. I do everything from cleaning the litter box, feeding on your cats schedule, water refresh and playtime!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
Living with cats my entire life has given me a ton of experience caring for cats in general. I have been both dog and cat sitting for many years but being the cat lover that I am, I am very excited to be cat sitting with Meowtel.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes!! My fur babies names are Binx and Leo! Leo is my first child, I adopted him 10 years ago and he is my angel. He’s a gray and white short hair and has the cutest mustache, a true gentleman. He is the most chill cat in the world and I love him so much. Binx was a stray I found in the woods as a kitten. Obviously I was going to keep him! He is an all black short hair and is a little chunky, but I don’t judge. He’s a little crazy and has separation anxiety but him and Leo are bestfriends, so that helps. I only have 2 right now, but my husband knows that it won’t be long till we have more :)
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
My cat Binx is a very anxious cat, and over the years I have seen him become less and less. Giving a shy or anxious cat plenty of space to be comfortable is a must. You have to gain their trust before they will ever show their personality or warm up to you. Being very calm and patient is key!

This was my second time using Madison for babysitting my boys. She will now be my go to for taking care of my boys. The house was in purrfect order, packages on the counter, liter was clean, food and water were full and the boys were so happy when we got home. I got lots of pics along the way of Madison playing with the boys and I couldn't be happier. Thanks to Madison for making me feel so comfortable that my kitty's are in great hands!!!

Maddy was great! It was the first time leaving my fur baby for an extended period so I was a bit anxious, I had zero worries after meeting Maddy. On the days she visited she always messaged letting me know what she did, and the best part was pictures. It made me feel so much more at ease seeing pics of my happy and noticeably vocal cat. Communication was easy and she was always quick with responses, most importantly I trust her with taking care of my pet and being in my home. Definitely would use Maddy’s service again in the future and highly recommend!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Saint Petersburg cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Madi is the perfect person to watch your cat. She is caring, respectful and responsible. She has had cats her entire life. She loves every cat like her own, even mine and I have the meanest cat ever. I don't know anything else Madi likes more than cats. This is her dream job. She makes sure your cats aren't lonely, they are well fed, and that they have a clean litter box.

I usually get pretty nervous when I have to leave Casper because he is very shy and timid. By the first night, when Madison was watching him, he was curled up next to her and didn't leave her side. Madison was texting me and updating me throughout the day on how he was doing, which I really appreciate! She went above and beyond in following my care instructions, and I could not recommend her enough. I even referred her to my friends, and they had great experiences as well!
