I have three cats: two adopted from Cat Depot, and one I rescued as a kitten from the street. Maisie, my sweet tortie, is super shy around new people, but she literally talks to those she knows—she’s quite the chatty cat! Vespa, my calico, is older + quiet but sassy and loves to sunbathe all day long. Salem, my cross-eyed lynx point, is the kitten I rescued off the street. She’s so tiny and loves to scratch my wooden stair bannister. It’s funny because her name means peace, but she's anything but—she’s wild!

What is your favorite cat toy?

Tunnels are fantastic for cats! They offer that perfect sense of security—a cozy, covered space where they can hide, yet still stay engaged. Cats can move around freely and pop their heads in and out, interacting as they please. As for my cats, crinkle toys are a total hit. They absolutely go wild for them!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I'm perfectly comfortable caring for cats who are timid or anxious. I believe it's essential to respect their boundaries and let them set the pace. While toys and treats can be great for coaxing a cat out of hiding that you know, I approach new feline friends differently. I don't think enticing a cat out of hiding automatically creates a bond or gives me the right to interact with them. I find that "less is more" often works best. I prefer to sit quietly on the floor in an open space, giving the cat time to observe me in their environment and get used to my scent from a distance. This allows them to come out on their own terms. Depending on the length of the sitting job, there are many other methods I use, but this is always my starting point.

Haily was amazing with Mew. He was relaxed and happy the whole time, which means the world to us. She made sure he took his steroids, supplements, and nebulizer treatments without any issues. We felt completely at ease knowing Mew was in such caring and capable hands. Haily scooped the litter and refilled the water fountain everyday. She made me feel at ease by sending me detailed updates of Mew everyday. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable cat sitter.

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
