My name is Toby and I have owned seven cats throughout my life and each of them have brought me so much happiness. I live in the Central Florida area, with my partner and our two cats Regina and Timber. After living with senior cats for so many years, Timber and “Gigi” have brought a whole new energy to our household by having young cats again. So from caring for senior cats, and administering medications to them, to playing and entertaining kittens, I have a lot of experience with cats of all ages.
I have fostered cats through a local shelter when I lived in Southern California, and my partner and I even used to run a cat themed boutique gift shop called “Catnips... Hello Feline Lovers!

I also volunteer for a local cat rescue here in Central Florida, and that brings me a lot of joy to help care for them and it makes me happy when they are adopted into a forever home. So to say I love cats is an understatement.
As I have worked in customer service in the theme park industry for over 20 years, I value providing the best service and care to my clients, and I am very respectful of you and your cat’s wishes. I have a calm and kind demeanor, and I feel animals pick up on this as well. From feeding, to administering medicines if needed, playing with them, and cleaning their litter box, you can feel comfortable that I will treat your fur babies as my own.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I know that it can be stressful for cats to be away from their owners, so I enjoy being there to provide that companionship during the absence of the owners. Getting to meet, play, pet, and provide love to different cats with varying personalities is the best part of sitting for me.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats, a female named Regina, she is shy and super sweet and chill. Timber is a male snowshoe breed and can be very needy, and has a lot of energy so I am constantly looking for new ways to play with him and provide enriching activities.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I take notes during the meet and greet and I ask a lot of questions so that I am on the same page as the cat parents, and the expectations that they are requesting are clearly set.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make sure to look around for any potential safety hazards for a cat, because when they are home alone they may have moved or knocked over items, so I ensure that said items are put back or removed out of the cats reach.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I love to play with any kind of wand toys, and enjoy getting the cat to "hunt" and chase the toy at the end of the wand.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I will often sit down on the ground near, but not too close to them and just talk to them, often extending my hand out to them and let them go at their own pace to warm up to me.

Toby is AWESOME! He did a beautiful job of taking care of our Oreo Cookie. He even brought her new toys and showed her how to play with them. My kitty was safe and happy in his care, and he posted daily messages and pictures to show that she was doing great. His communication was five-star quality and gave me great peace of mind. He kept the house neat and tidy, while making Oreo feel special with attention and love. He left a super nice note from my kitty with pictures, welcoming me home, so thoughtful. Toby is not just a pet sitter. He truly cares about your cats and their well being. I am incredibly selective about who I will leave my cats with but I knew Toby could be trusted to care for them like his own. He took the time to win them over, sent pictures daily and made sure all their needs were met. At first he was a stranger which some of my 4 cats were more comfortable than others. Toby goes above and beyond when caring for our fur babies! He gets our mail, cleans up and keeps the cat litter area free from wayward litter. He loves on our kitties and can even get our shy kitty from under the bed to eat treats from his hand. A cat whisperer indeed! We’ve never needed to hire a sitter for our cats before, so we were very nervous about making sure our cats were well taken care of. Toby went so above and beyond making sure that our cats were well fed and played with and cared for. He sent lots of pictures and videos, very detailed updates, and did plenty to clean up for the cats that he was not asked to do. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Windermere cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Toby was awesome, he went above and beyond. One of our cats is very shy around people and Toby was able to win him over and give him his medication with no problems.
