I’ve been a veterinary assistant for 14 years. I have been working at the largest animal shelter in the south east since 2019. Currently, I serve as the Lead Surgical Veterinary Assistant, I am very proud of the work I do.
I’m deeply passionate about animal welfare and have opened my home to more than 50 sick cats and kittens, helping nurse them back to health.
I’m very experienced in caring for cats with medical needs, as well as those with more “spicy” personalities. I truly love them all. Afternoons tend to work best for me, but I’m happy to be flexible depending on your location.
One of the most rewarding parts of sitting with Meowtel is being able to ease my clients’ worries... I absolutely adore cats, the cuddles, the purrs, and their big personalities! I have two of my own, Mr. Butters and Sushi.

One of the most rewarding parts of sitting with Meowtel is being able to ease my clients’ worries. As a cat parent myself, I know how nerve wracking it can be to leave your fur babies at home. When you book with me, you can feel confident knowing your cats are in safe, capable, and loving hands.
Here’s what you can expect when I care for your kitties:
• Complimentary meet and greets. I always aim to meet beforehand, though I understand schedules can be tricky. During your reservation, your cats are my top priority, and everything else is planned around their care.
• Medication administration. Experienced with SQ fluids, insulin, IM or SQ injections, and oral medications, both liquid and pills.
• Grooming. Brushing and nail trims upon request, complimentary.
• Cleaning. Light cleaning including dishes, sweeping, and mopping as needed, because litter has a mind of its own.
• Mail and packages. I’ll bring in anything delivered while you’re away.
• Trash service. Taking trash out as needed and handling bins on pickup days.
• Communication. Most importantly, I provide detailed updates with photos and videos after every visit. I believe clear, consistent communication is key to giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting with Meowtel since 2022, and it’s been an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s given my family extra financial freedom, and I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing cats and their wonderful owners.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love forming genuine bonds or “friendships,” as I like to call them, with the kitties in my care. It’s equally rewarding to give cat parents peace of mind, knowing their fur babies are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while they’re away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two cats, Mr. Butters and Sushi. Butters is my cuddler, he’s the kind of cat who will happily sit on your head while you sleep. Sushi is my sweet, sensitive boy and feels like my mirror; when he’s acting a little off, I’ve learned it usually means something is different with me, whether it’s stress or not feeling well.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
From the moment you hit “Book Now,” our cat parent–sitter relationship begins. I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have before, during, and after your reservation. I typically recommend scheduling a meet-and-greet 1–5 days before your booking so your instructions are fresh in my mind, but I’m flexible and can meet whenever it’s most convenient for you. During your reservation, please feel free to reach out at any time. I’ll do everything I can to give you peace of mind while you’re away. If travel plans change and you’re delayed getting home, just let me know, MOST of the time I can accommodate an extra day if needed. Communication is key! 🔑 😊
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Your cat’s safety is always my top priority. I’m extremely careful when opening and closing any exterior doors, as I know some kitties like to make a quick dash outside (I call them “door darters”—my own cat is one!). During each visit, I make sure to visually check on every cat. With shy cats, this can take a bit of extra patience, but I know they can hide in unexpected places and will carefully check throughout the home. During the meet-and-greet, I also ask about their usual hiding spots so I know exactly where to look and can ensure they’re safe and accounted for.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I’m available for most holidays. If I won’t be, I make sure to mark myself unavailable at least 90 days in advance so there are no surprises. I do recommend booking at least a month ahead for holiday reservations, as those dates tend to fill up quickly.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I handle timid or anxious cats with patience, respect, and a lot of positive reinforcement. Treats, treats, and more treats! (Always with the cat parent’s approval first!) I move slowly and thoughtfully, never pushing a cat past their comfort level. I let them set the pace and decide when they’re ready to interact. Often, during the first day or two, I give them space. By day three, most are at least a little curious about the “strange lady” refilling their food bowls. 😂 Over time, I’ve been able to win over almost every shy kitty I’ve cared for.

Kristin was great! she came daily around the same time and fed my kitty… she understands my cat’s spicy ways and is so patient with her….. it means everything to me to know my cat will not get stressed out by someone who “thinks” they get cats yet has never dealt with a spicy one! (that happened before I found Kristin & Meowtel! so stressful for me to worry about my pet while on vacation!) I have peace of mind with Kristin. We’ve used her twice now and there’s been no drama. we come home to a fed, cared for and happy cat! 😻

We cannot say enough good things about Kristin . We have 2 cats. Not only did she come every day and feed them, give them treats, love on them, play with them, scoop the poop, replace the litter boxes, bring in the mail, and everything else she promises in her long list of credentials, but she went above and beyond to pay special attention to my cat Rocket, who has recently completed treatment for FIP, and is just in the beginning stages of his observation period. We honestly were going to cancel our vacation and stay home because of the seriousness of the FIP disease, but it was a family wedding that we truly did not want to miss. A few weeks before we were scheduled to leave, I found Meowtel, and specifically Kristin. She has been a vet tech for 14 years, and not only can she give injections or pills if necessary, but she has the experience and ability to recognize if a cat is not feeling well. Our final decision to take the vacation came after the meet and greet. As soon as I met Kristin and saw how she interacted with my cats, my house, and me, I knew that everything was going to be OK. She would know what to do if Rocket relapsed, but also the added value of her bringing in our mail and packages, and taking care of our house, cleaning the litter boxes, and being there everyday made us feel comfortable. Kristin was friendly during meet up, felt confident in her experience. While i was away she communicated to me how she can get my cats more comfortable around her. (challenging because I had Kristin stop by every other day for only three days) appreciated that and also that she left out another bowl of food (i did not request), but thought it was a bit odd she did not communicate that to me. Last day of care, we had a huge misunderstanding and she unfortunately missed my requested time (morning), and did not complete my full reservation. She then told me that she only has certain visitation hours, but I wish this was clarified during the first initial reservation. This was during a whole day my cats being alone, and did not have any food and low on water. I already had a scheduled plan to have someone i knew personally come by that evening, so I just mentioned if she could just drop off my key. This really stressed me out because i was across the country and i had a hard time reaching her in a timely matter. Kristin offered multiple ways to handle the situation and apologized. I totally understand life happens, but I wish there was more communication vs me being worried and having to reach out.

First timer and it was a great experience. I was out of town for 6 days and I had no one that I could rely on to watch my cats. I decided to take a chance and try Meowtel. Being able to have a meet and greet before leaving, helped with the anxiety and provided relief for me. I was updated every visit with photos of my boys. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Acworth cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Finding Kristin through MeowTel was a Godsend! We had a long trip planned, but we had become disenchanted with our vet for boarding our special needs cat. We were so fortunate that Kristin, who is trained vet technician, agreed to take our request! She very capably administered the medications our cat with CKD needed multiple days during our trip. She also kept us updated on his wellbeing with informative texts and photos, all of which gave us comfort that our cat was receiving expert care! Kristin also was very willing to take care of other details in our absence, but we were able to allow her to focus all of her attention on caring for our cat’s many needs. We will definitely continue to call on Kristin for cat-sitting as long as she’s available and willing!

Oh my goodness we loved having Kristin kitty sit out fur babies. She was super responsive, asked great questions, and kept us in the loop about how our kitties were doing. If you’re looking for a kitty sitter she’s your gal!
