I am very experienced with handling cats with medical needs and moody ones as well, I love them all! Afternoons work best for me but I can be flexible depending on your location.

I can ease the nerves of my clients. As a cat parent myself, I know it can be nerve wracking to leave your fur babies at home alone, but when you book with me you... I absolutely adore cats! The cuddles, purrs, and big personalities! I have tro of my own named Mr. Butters and Sushi. I have been a veterinary assistant for 13 years and I have been the lead vet assistant at a cat shelter for half a decade. I’m passionate about animal welfare and have opened my home to over 50 sick cats and kittens over the years to nurse them back to health.
I am very experienced with handling cats with medical needs and moody ones as well, I love them all! Afternoons work best for me but I can be flexible depending on your location.

I can ease the nerves of my clients. As a cat parent myself, I know it can be nerve wracking to leave your fur babies at home alone, but when you book with me you can rest assured that your cats are in great hands!
Here are some things you can expect from me while I care for your kitties.
*Complimentary meet and greets! (Sometimes meet and greets can be difficult to schedule due to conflicting schedules. Please, rest assured during your reservation I have scheduled everything else around it, your kitties are my number one priority during the length of our reservation.)
*Medicine - SQ fluids, insulin injections, or any other injections needed (IM or SQ), oral medications (liquid or pills.)
*Grooming - I will brush your kitties and trim nails at your request!! (Complimentary!)
*Cleaning - dishwashing, sweeping 🧹& mopping as needed (I know sometimes litter doesn’t like to stay in the box!)
*Mail - I will bring in all mail and packages that are delivered while you’re out of town.
*Trash - I will take trash out as needed and bring your can to and from the road on trash days.
*Communication - most importantly I will update you with pictures and videos during every visit. I believe communication between sitter and cat parent is vital for you to feel at ease when you are out of town!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for Meowtel since 2022, and I absolutely love it!
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Forming genuine bonds or 'friendships' I like to say with the kitties under my care. I also love that I can give cat parent's peace of mind knowing that their fur babies are safe in my care.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two, their names are Mr. Butters and Sushi.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to schedule the meet and greet 1 to 5 days the reservation, that way your instructions are fresh in my mind. However, that is just a suggestion, we can schedule anytime that is convenient for you.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I am very vigilant when I open and close doors to the outside, I know some like to try to dart out the door. (I call them door darters; my Mr. Butter's is one of these.) I also make sure that I get eyes on each cat when I visit, with the shy ones this can be a challenge. No matter, I know cats can hide in odd places and I will check everywhere! I ask cat parents who have shy cats where their normal hiding spots are during the meet and greet.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes! I advise booking at least a month in advance for holidays as I book up quickly.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Treats, treats, and more treats! I win them over most of the time. :)

Kristin was great! she came daily around the same time and fed my kitty… she understands my cat’s spicy ways and is so patient with her….. it means everything to me to know my cat will not get stressed out by someone who “thinks” they get cats yet has never dealt with a spicy one! (that happened before I found Kristin & Meowtel! so stressful for me to worry about my pet while on vacation!) I have peace of mind with Kristin. We cannot say enough good things about Kristin . We have 2 cats. Not only did she come every day and feed them, give them treats, love on them, play with them, scoop the poop, replace the litter boxes, bring in the mail, and everything else she promises in her long list of credentials, but she went above and beyond to pay special attention to my cat Rocket, who has recently completed treatment for FIP, and is just in the beginning stages of his observation period. We honestly were going to cancel our vacation and stay home because of the seriousness of the FIP disease, but it was a family wedding that we truly did not want to miss. A few weeks before we were scheduled to leave, I found Meowtel, and specifically Kristin. She has been a vet tech for 14 years, and not only can she give injections or pills if necessary, but she has the experience and ability to recognize if a cat is not feeling well. Our final decision to take the vacation came after the meet and greet. As soon as I met Kristin and saw how she interacted with my cats, my house, and me, I knew that everything was going to be OK. She would know what to do if Rocket relapsed, but also the added value of her bringing in our mail and packages, and taking care of our house, cleaning the litter boxes, and being there everyday made us feel comfortable. We love her and we will hire her again again and again.

Kristin was friendly during meet up, felt confident in her experience. While i was away she communicated to me how she can get my cats more comfortable around her. (challenging because I had Kristin stop by every other day for only three days) appreciated that and also that she left out another bowl of food (i did not request), but thought it was a bit odd she did not communicate that to me. Last day of care, we had a huge misunderstanding and she unfortunately missed my requested time (morning), and did not complete my full reservation. She then told me that she only has certain visitation hours, but I wish this was clarified during the first initial reservation. This was during a whole day my cats being alone, and did not have any food and low on water. I already had a scheduled plan to have someone i knew personally come by that evening, so I just mentioned if she could just drop off my key. This really stressed me out because i was across the country and i had a hard time reaching her in a timely matter. Kristin offered multiple ways to handle the situation and apologized. I totally understand life happens, but I wish there was more communication vs me being worried and having to reach out.

I have 4 cats and she even took care of my porch kitty! 100/10 Highly recommend Kristin! Also, don't worry if you have shy kitties because she will do everything to ensure you they are alright and taken care of even if they hide! First timer and it was a great experience. I was out of town for 6 days and I had no one that I could rely on to watch my cats. I decided to take a chance and try Meowtel. Being able to have a meet and greet before leaving, helped with the anxiety and provided relief for me. I was updated every visit with photos of my boys. Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Acworth cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Finding Kristin through MeowTel was a Godsend! We had a long trip planned, but we had become disenchanted with our vet for boarding our special needs cat. We were so fortunate that Kristin, who is trained vet technician, agreed to take our request! She very capably administered the medications our cat with CKD needed multiple days during our trip. She also kept us updated on his wellbeing with informative texts and photos, all of which gave us comfort that our cat was receiving expert care! Kristin also was very willing to take care of other details in our absence, but we were able to allow her to focus all of her attention on caring for our cat’s many needs. We will definitely continue to call on Kristin for cat-sitting as long as she’s available and willing!
