What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

Before every sit, I always conduct a consultation where you can provide me with all of your pet’s needs and your expectations from me while I take notes to ensure that I provide exactly what is needed/expected.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am usually not available on Christmas. Outside of that, I am generally available during Holidays! Just reach out to be sure though.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite toy is a feather wand because it entertains the cat in a fun and interactive way. I love how it allows for bonding time, as I can control the wand's movement and create an exciting play session. It's versatile, too—whether it's a timid cat that prefers slow, gentle movements or an energetic one that loves to pounce and chase, the feather wand can cater to different play styles.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When caring for timid or anxious cats, I prioritize creating a calm and safe environment. I approach them slowly and quietly, giving them plenty of space to adjust to my presence. I let the cat come to me on their terms, avoiding sudden movements or loud noises that might increase their stress. Providing hiding spots, like blankets or boxes, can help them feel secure. I also use a gentle tone and offer treats or toys to build trust gradually. Patience and understanding are key, and I respect their boundaries while ensuring their basic needs, like food, water, and a clean litter box, are met.

I have had trouble in the past finding a reliable cat sitter( we have 6 cats) but now I feel confident I have found the perfect one. Jake was very communicative. He sent texts and photos daily. On his first day while we were out of town, one of my cats had a not so lovely accident on a rug. He cleaned it up, put the rug in the wash and then dryer and we came home to a clean rug. Very impressed with his follow through. He takes his job very seriously and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Jake took great care of the majority of the family - he tried to take care of my youngest, but she was having none of it 🤪 I have high hopes that on his next visit she will be more welcoming so she can play with the rest of the group!

Cancellation Policy

Cat parents may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a full refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Cat parents will receive a full refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Cat parents will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the cat parent cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
