What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I ve been caring for cats for over 5 years, both my own and for friends and family. Over time, I turned my love for cats into a professional service. I’m experienced with cats of all ages, personalities, and needs — from playful kittens to senior cats that need extra gentle care. I’ve lived in areas with large cat communities, including Midtown and here in Cobb County, which gave me even more hands. on experience caring for cats of all breeds and temperaments. Being surrounded by so many cats in my neighborhoods really deepened my understanding of their behavior and individual needs . That real life, everyday exposure taught me how to read a cat’s body language, recognize signs of stress or illness early, and create a calm, loving environment wherever I go.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Building trust with each cat. There’s nothing more rewarding than when a shy or nervous kitty finally comes to you for cuddles. I also love giving cat parents peace of mind knowing their baby is in good hands. Every cat has a unique personality, and getting to know their little quirks — their favorite nap spots, the way they ask for treats, or how they greet you at the door — makes every visit special. It truly feels less like a job and more like spending time with family
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I always start with a meet & greet so I can meet the cat in their own space. I ask detailed questions about their routine, diet, medications, favorite spots, and any quirks. I also ask for vet info just in case. Communication is key — I send daily photo and video updates. I also take notes during our first meeting so I don’t miss any details — things like feeding times, litter preferences, and whether the cat likes to be held or prefers their own space. After each visit, I follow up with the owner to share how everything went and address any concerns. My goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible so both the cat and the parent feel comfortable and confident from day one.

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
