Yes! I’m a proud cat parent to the cutest, roundest, orange fluff named George. He turned 10 this summer! He is the light of my life and has taught me so much about patience, care, and understanding feline personalities. Having my own cat helps me empathize with pet parents and ensures I give every cat the love, attention, and respect they deserve while you’re away.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure the safety of cats and the home by closely following the owner’s instructions and routines, keeping doors and windows secure, and monitoring the cats at all times. I remove or minimize hazards, such as small objects or toxic plants, and make sure food, water, and litter are always clean and accessible. I stay calm and observant, addressing any issues immediately while keeping the cats’ comfort and wellbeing my top priority. For emergencies, I follow the owner’s guidance and act quickly to ensure the best outcome for both the cats and the home. I will communicate with the owner on any items that seem out of place or hazardous to ensure the safety of the cat/cats I’m caring for.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When I’m caring for a timid or anxious cat, I focus on patience and letting them set the pace. I give them space to observe and approach me on their own terms, while using calm body language, a soft voice, and gentle slow blinking to show I’m not a threat. I pay close attention to their comfort signals and avoid forcing interaction. I also follow the owner’s guidance on favorite toys, treats, or routines to help the cat feel safe and reassured. Following the comfort of the cat, I will gradually engage with gentle play or pets once the cat shows they’re ready.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
