So happy I booked with Harper to take care of my two kitties! They accepted my last-minute request and was extremely reliable, self sufficient, and friendly in our interactions. Harper also administered medication. I felt confident my cats were getting excellent care and plenty of playtime.

I have never gone out of my way to leave a review but felt this needed to be said. We have used numerous cat sitters from this site without any complaints. My girlfriend and I were gone for 10 days and specifically asked Harper to throw away the dirty litter in the trash that was outside of the back door. In the walk through Harper asked if he can use the kitchen garbage and I said no- we use the garbage outside of the door a few steps directly below our apartment. This was asked so we didn’t have cat feces and urine fermenting in our kitchen garbage for days on end, which is what we came home to. We got home a few hours early so told him not to come as we didn’t need him to feed the cats. He said he meant to “take out the trash” and apologized for the mess as there was a lot of snow and it was “dangerously icy out until today.” We came home and our trash was filled with dirty litter bags that had clearly been there since when we had left 10 days ago. The stench was awful and is still lingering in our kitchen trash despite emptying and cleaning it out numerous times on top of airing out the entire area for hours. Had any of this been communicated to us within the 10 days we were gone we would have made different arrangements to take care of the litter. It seemed like he was just using our kitchen trash the entire time and was going to take it out on the last day despite what we had asked. Will not be using this person again.

Harper is a true cat lover! He has made a friend out of every cat he has met. As a pet sitter, he is attentive, communicative, and always on time. Whenever he sits for me, Harper leaves my home (and the litter-boxes!) cleaner than he found it. I would recommend Harper to anyone in the market for a cat sitter; you will feel at ease when you're away knowing that Harper is taking care of your critters.

Harper is our go-to pet sitter for a reason. He’s reliable, and his lifelong experience with cats has made him an invaluable resource to us and our friends. He not only cares for our two cats and dog, but every one of our friends with cats in Chicago turns to him as their first point of contact when they need a sitter. He always sends numerous updates, leaves our home clean when he stays overnight, and is great with all of our animals. Even our shy cat will find his way into Harper’s arms within moments of arriving and friends’ cats who typical stick to the shadows will be rubbing on him and posing for pictures when he drops in. He’s a great friend, and excellent resource, and an ideal cat sitter.

Harper is full of care and experience! I know my kitties are safe and Harper understands their needs. One of my cats takes medicine, and I trust Harper to always administer that correctly. Not only does Harper take care of their somewhat complicated food needs, and keeps the two cats separate (as they don't get along and we have to keep them separate) but I know Harper will stay some extra time just to make sure each cat gets play time and to socialize and cuddle! We get photos and updates and great communication. Thank you Harper for being a great cat sitter!!
