I currently reside in the west suburbs, but I commute and work in the north side of Chicago! I'm a technician at an ER/specialty vet hospital, and have been a certified veterinary technician for over 10 years, as well as experience in a pet boarding hotel for about 4 years! I can handle oral, topical, and SQ medications and all types of kitties from sweet and cuddly to spicy! I love and care for all cats! I respect cat's personal space, so if you have a kitty that prefers to be left alone, I will not intrude on their space. Conversely, I will cuddle any cat who loves the attention! I will be as involved as the kitties and their humans would like me to be :)

I have two kitties of my own, calico sisters that are about 9 years old! I also help take care of some TNR kitties by my father's house.

In my spare time, I like to read, cuddle with my fur babies, and spend time with my wonderful husband and my bonus son!

I have reliable transportation so I can cat sit anywhere in the Chicagoland area ☺️

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two calicos sisters! Their names are Gabby and Cassie. I also had another cat named Koko who lived to be about 12 years who I miss dearly.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

The most important thing is to go at their pace and if they're not ready for any interaction, I give them their space!

Jessica was a pleasure to work with! She took great care of our 19 year old senior, and successfully got our other shy kitty his medication. You can tell she loves cats, and I knew our guys were in great hands!

Jess was the best sitter we could have hoped for— came around the same time everyday, sent us pictures and updates on our cat and even left us a thank you card. it was our first time leaving Simon alone and we were anxious but Jess put our minds at ease. 100% our go to sitter from now on

We were so nervous to leave our cat with a stranger for the first time, but due to her new medications we didn’t feel it was fair to leave her with friends. Jess was AMAZING for our cat, sending us loads of updates/photos each day. Our cat loved her too! We will definitely look for Jess next time!

Jessica was great and Sampson loved her. She showed up on time, spent time with Sampson, changed his water, and cleaned his box! She sent pictures to me and updated me daily. I felt comfortable granting her access to my home and having her care for my lovie. I’d definitely use her again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Hillside cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
