What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I love to keep things organized and clean! Making sure your cat is comfortable while your away is my goal! I enjoy having cats coming to the door after a couple visits because they begin to know who I am :)
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 4! And I’d love to have more ;) Farah Grace, Callie Joy, Binx Boy, and Tilly Faith. I got two of them from humane societies and two showed up at my door! They are a huge blessing to me and my home. I love waking up and seeing them curled up or ready to eat. Caring for them is my purpose in life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I’d tell them to choose someone who will respect your cat and the privacy of your home. If they want a quick feed and clean service, that’s what they need to look for. If they want to give their cats cuddles while they are away, ask for that. Be specific in what you want for your cat’s needs. Each cat is different and responds differently to all kinds of people. Tell the sitter where everything located and give emergency numbers, just in case.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
First, I would meet with the pet parent, and see where everything is located, get numbers, and get an overall feel for what the parent and pet needs. I’d text or call the pet parent that I’m heading over. When I pull up at the drive, look around, be aware of surroundings. Open the door and make sure to lock as I go inside just in case there are cat escape artists. Most cats will probably be hiding, so I’d first sit and wait to see if any want to see who I am or go looking, depending on the cat. I’d go about getting food, litter box, cleaning, water, treats, and then when the cat or cats are ready, I’d sit and play or just pet and cuddle. After all is done, I’d go out the same door, lock up, check surrounding, tell the cat parent I’m done.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
All my cats are timid, especially around new people! So I’ll make sure to go slow and respect your cat’s space. I also have an anxious cat who scratches and itches. If I’m the problem, I’ll try to make them calm otherwise just give them the space they need to breathe and sleep!

My timid boy Rainn didn't hide like he usually does with guests. She's a real cat lady! 😺 Sent pictures and updates of my cats to me as well which made me smile! Will definitely book with her again!

I could not have been happier with Kata’s services for my two cats plus their cousin cat. Kata shared her daily visits complete with pictures and updates while going above and beyond. I was stuck at my destination due to a “BLIZZARD” and was not sure when or how I would be returning home. Kata was very flexible and accommodating and extended her services for another day! I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and the care she provided for my cats. She came over for a meet-and-greet beforehand, and all of my cats loved her immediately, which says a lot. From the moment she walked in, I could tell she is a true cat and animal person. She was so sweet with each of them and very thorough in making sure she had all the information she needed about their care. While I was away, she kept me consistently updated with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. She made sure they were well fed, brushed, entertained, and the litter boxes were cleaned and emptied, and everything was left neat and taken care of. I came home to happy cats and a clean home. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, caring, and attentive pet care.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Fishers cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $28.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
