What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been cat sitting for friends and family for as long as I can remember. I feel very confident in my abilities to create a cohesive relationship with my clients as well as their kitties.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two cats! The oldest is Salem, a five year old Russian blue with an incredible amount of sass. The youngest is Sage, a two year old Tabby. Both are males and the best of friends.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I will usually do a meetup beforehand, just so that we can both get an idea of who eachother are. I like to keep my client notes page open on my phone so that I can quickly type out all of the necessary information about the daily routine of the owners cat. I also like to do a walkthrough of the home. This way, I can get an idea of where everything is located throughout the house, and the fur baby can smell my scent. In most cases, it creates a safe space for meeting the cat when the owner is present.

Laura was amazing! She is our first cat sitter and took great care of our kitties. We have one that is a bit of a scared cat and he IMMEDIATELY warmed up to her. You can tell she cares a lot about cats and has a lot of knowledge about them. She even gave us a recommendation for feeding our cats, since one of them throws up food sometimes.

We utilized Laura for a Work trip and a Vacation back to back. Very professional - Very nice and kind - right on time with first meeting - and visits each day. Helped keep food and litter areas nice and clean. Had 100% confidence everything was going well while away. Our cats are hiders - when someone comes over. But they knew they were being cared for - and were their normal selves when we got home. Will certainly use Laura again in the future.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
