What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I find that every cat I’ve ever come across has been unique; in their personality, behaviors, coat patterns, even what toys and food they prefer. I very much love getting to know cats as I meet them, and it feels very fulfilling to me to be able to provide and care for them, whether or not they’re my own or a stranger’s.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My two best friends growing up, Kink and Ms. Anna, were loving, special cats that taught me the most about how to care for other living beings. In their old age and declining health, they have recently passed away, though not without warm goodbyes from those who loved them. I now have a rescue cat, Zelda, who has helped me grieve my childhood cats, and in many ways reminds me of them, and has taught me how impactful and important the life of a cat is, no matter how short.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I firstly respect and value the cat parent(s)’ rules and guidlines on how to secure the environment of the cat, typically being their home. I make sure any and all instructions are followed, keeping an active eye on the cat(s) I am in charge of, depending on the context I have been given by the cat parent— for example, if asked to stay with a cat who has attachment anxiety, I will make sure the home is secure and the cat feels safe in my presence, making sure to spend an adequate amount of time with them to keep them safe.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
