I have extensive experience with cat care and cat sitting. My whole family loves cats and we regularly rescued and fostered cats growing up. I have worked with multiple shelters assisting in cat care as well as Save a Gato in Puerto Rico helping with TNR, administering medication, kitten fostering, and socialization... Hi! My name is Erika and I'm currently a student at UMB studying computer science. Before this I was traveling around the states with my 3 kitties in the Coast Guard.
I have extensive experience with cat care and cat sitting. My whole family loves cats and we regularly rescued and fostered cats growing up. I like to start my sittings with introducing myself to the cats. It's important to go slow, build trust, and let the cats come to you on their own terms. I provide regular updates and will make sure your cats are as well loved as my own! Cats are a genuine joy in my life so I love playing with them and generally hanging around them!
In my free time I enjoy watching and reading about archaeology and history, playing computer games, crocheting, and playing the lute.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have been cat sitting for friends, family, and coworkers for over 10 years. I have been taking care of cats at shelters and rescues for 13 years.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have three cats named Papaya, Tsunami, and Weasel. All three are rescues. Papaya was a feral kitten when I first got him and he took a lot of work to socialize but he is a very sweet boy now. Weasel was the victim of abuse and was very distrusting and aggressive at first. Over time we bonded and now she is always by my side.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available during holidays as well as on short notice. Don't hesitate to reach out and ask any questions!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
