I'm comfortab... I'm a lifelong cat lover, with two little monsters of my own! Your furry friend is bound to be missing you while you're gone, but I'll do everything I can to tide them over in the meantime. I'm experienced with everything from kittens to elderly cats, and from cuddlebugs to shy or standoffish pals.
I'm comfortable administering most kinds of medication, and feel strongly about making sure cats have adequate mental stimulation while their owners are away. There's always time for more play during a sit!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Give yourself time! It helps to meet with sitters and ask them questions so that you can feel 100% confident when you're away. Pet sitting involves a tremendous amount of trust, and you should always prioritize your own comfort when choosing a sitter.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to arrange time for a meet and greet first and foremost, to make sure everyone is on the same page on logistical info, and to start the trust building process -- both human-to-human and human-to-cat! I have a list of questions to make sure I get answered prior to any sit, to ensure the best experience possible.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
It's important to go slow with anxious cats, and to pay very close attention to how they respond to you. I might not be able to play with them on initial sits, but instead spend time sitting with them and allowing them to get used to my presence and my scent, for example.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Jamaica Plain cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
