Cat Sitting in Medford, MA

Hi! So I’m a bit of a cat lady! I have four cats of my own - three sweet boys and one spunky calico. All very cute and all very spoiled! Outside of all things cats, I do R&D at a start up in Cambridge.

When I’m not cat sitting (or working!), I fill my time with rescue work. I volunteer with a few different organizations in the metro/Boston area helping community cats. In the last seven years I have personally fostered/trapped/socialized/transported/provided medical care for over 1000 cats. Cat sitting helps support my rescue work, so thank you for trusting me with your babies.

As someone who traps many community cats- both ferals and strays- I respect that all cats have unique personalities and specific wants/needs. That is why they all have us wrapped around their little paws...

That is why they all have us wrapped around their little paws. I am happy to make sure your cats have the basics - food, water, clean litter - and get them their exercise and pets, if they want!

In terms of my hands on experience, I can give various types of medications, SC fluids, inhalers, and insulin. I’ve fostered a range of cats with kidney and liver issues as well as cats with bowel issues, thyroid issues, heart issues, and diabetes. Outside of your kitties, I am also happy to help with anything else you might need while you are away (mail, plants)!

I cat sit because I truly adore cats but more importantly, I cat sit because finding quality cat care when you want to go away can be challenging, and I try to ease that burden for all my clients. When I leave town, I want someone who can do the basics (and the meds) but more importantly, I want someone who can observe my guys and really know if something is wrong. When I hire a cat sitter, I look for a true cat person with a plethora of experience that deeply cares about all cats whether they belong to them or not. I promise to provide all of that for my clients and their cat(s).

Feel free to shoot me a message to discuss anything before booking. I look forward to meeting you and your (furry) kid(s) 😻😻😻

Ann was great like she always is with our girls. She went above and beyond, bringing up packages, tidying up, and playing with our cats. Can’t recommend enough!

Ann was great! One of my cats had a colectomy last year, so I'm constantly worried about him and his poop while I'm traveling. Ann totally got it and made sure to prioritize that in her updates. When we did run into an issue that required meds, she was able to give them to my cat without issue. It's really nice having someone who is so familiar with and comfortable handling medical issues. She took care of my cats for a week and I felt totally comfortable with them in her care. I'd absolutely use her again without hesitation.

Ann stepped in at the last minute when my original sitter cancelled. She rushed over to my house as soon as she could get keys to get my cat food, water and medicine. Throughout the week, she sent lots of pictures and videos and was patient about giving a fickle boy his treats+medicine. She went above and beyond keeping the litter box and food areas tidy!

Ann has watched my timid cat Juniper 3 times now, and it’s clear from the photos that Juniper loves her! Ann knows what she’s doing, especially when it comes to shy kitties! My cat is also asthmatic and she was able to give her the inhaler.

Ann did a great job with our somewhat shy senior cat Penelope. Usually it takes Penelope 5+ days to warm up to a new sitter, but on the first visit she was hanging out and chatting with Ann. The multiple text, photo, and video updates each visit helped us feel relaxed knowing everything was ok back home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Medford cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
