What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

My favorite part about cat sitting is getting to meet so many different cats. I love all the different personalities the cats I watch have, and it’s so fun to get to know a new kitty.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would advise a customer to meet the sitter and see how they interact with the cat. Every cat is different, and the sitter shouldn’t force themselves on shy cats or push away needy cats. I would also look for someone with a lot of experience, and who understands that cats are unique animals with their own communication and body language.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

To make sure the cats I watch are safe and secure, I make sure that I see every cat in my care at least once a visit. I make sure no cats are trapped in rooms with closed doors, and I pick up anything that the cats could get into and hurt themselves. I don’t let cats in my care outside, because you don’t know if they will decide to run off (even if they normally come home - they may be different for a sitter). If the cats are friendly, I will give them a visual health check. If I ever notice anything wrong or unusual, I make sure to contact owners right away. My experience with many cats and many feline medical conditions helps me know what to look for.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
