I’m an aspiring vet with lots of cat care experience. I grew up with a cat who I was the primary care taker for starting from 8 years old. Now at 23, I live with three rescues of my own whom I love dearly. I have volunteered in animal shelters and take great care when it comes to handling cats. I’ve also worked with, and have had, cats of all different personalities and temperaments. I’ve also watched over cats for my friends extensively, including newborn kittens and senior kitties. When conducting cat visits I like to take some time to let the cat adjust to me being there and give them some attention. I want to make sure they get adequate pets and play time, as well as being fed. I typically clean litter boxes before leaving, and give them a treat and say goodbye before my exit.
What sets me apart from other cat sitters is my extensive cat handling experience, and the gentleness to which I approach caring for them.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 3! Two of them were adopted as a bonded pair named Luna and Lusa. They’re both black cats where Lusa is short haired and very tiny, and Luna is a long haired diva. My third cat is a bit younger and I’ve known him since his infancy when my friend’s rescued cat gave birth. He’s a big tall orange boy. His name is Persimmon but we’ve just shortened it to Percy over time.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Cats are a lot like babies in that you need to sort of cat proof things in your home. It’s really important to ensure no strings, hair ties, cleaning supplies, or other harmful things are left out in the open or within reach of the cat. I also make sure I actually see the cat with my own eyes and do not let them into any rooms with closed doors and am very cautious about closing them. I had a very horrible pet sitter in the past who left one of my babies locked in a room for a few days and she never noticed. That experience was traumatizing and caused a lot of damage to my home as well. Since being put in that position, it took me a while to trust any sitters, so it has made me as a sitter one who is incredibly cautious and attentive.
What is your favorite cat toy?
The cat dancer! It’s a very affordable toy and every cat I’ve used it with has been obsessed. It even got my oldest cat playing like a kitten again.

Hana was my first sitter after my cat was diagnosed with epilepsy, so I was nervous to leave but she did a wonderful job administering oral medication and she was very communicative. She even offered to bring over her own cat’s laser pointer when she noticed mine was out of batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Ellicott City cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Hana is a great cat sitter! She’s very knowledgeable about cats’ behaviors and will do everything she can to provide your cat with a great experience while you’re away.
