I usually have a tiny bottle of catnip in my purse at all times. I'm the type of person that babies love, animals come up to me, and elders tell me their whole life story. I have over 8 years pet experience taking care of friends and coworkers' fur babies. I grew up loving dogs then about 5 years ago I fully converted to the crazy cat lady religion when I learned about the power of women and cats. I absolutely love making new cat friends and getting to know their different personalities and boundaries. I got my beautiful boy, Keem, when he was about 4 months. Now, he's a 4 year old who loves to birdwatch and sunbathe by day, then eat treats and zoomie from shadowy places by night.

If time permits/ if you're comfortable- I love meet and greets which help me familiarize myself with the kitties and your space. If you prefer to wear a mask or meet virtually, that works too! I also offer complimentary watering of plants, bringing in mail, and doing the dishes just let me know :)
My main priority is keeping your cat SAFE and the least anxious while you're away. Even if they don't want anything from me besides the bare necessities and their space. Whatever the case, I love being able to use my opposable thumbs for the greater good of cats. I like to meet the cat where they are at emotionally so I pay attention to their body language and cues in an attempt to anticipate their needs or behaviors. I'm a responsible, adaptable, and down to earth cat sitter who would truly love to give you peace of mind when you're away from your purr-fect baby! I know how hard it is to leave them, so if you're leaning towards booking with me- thank you for sharing your fur baby with me, it is not something I take lightly. Cats really are gifts from the universe so I treat every fur baby like I would treat my own. I currently volunteer at the mdspca and cat sit full time so I have an abundance of time, flexibility, and patience to give your kitty.
I like to fill my life with whimsical things, plants, crafts, blind boxes, social justice, anime, sci-fi, cooking, baking, and building my herbarium.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Trust your gut. This is essentially hand picking a friend for your fur baby whether it be the first or fifth time using a sitter. Not everyone can purr on the same frequency and that's okay!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I use the skills I learned as a goalie to open the door carefully when entering and lock the door as soon as I'm inside. I make sure nothing was accidentally opened or left out that could cause issue for the cat. I always double check no one is trying to sneak out with me as I leave, then lock up.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Ooh I loove a laser pointer and crinkle ball combo! I like seeing their inner apex predator side come out. But there are many good options!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
SPAAAAACE! Gentle movements, treats, and energy adjustment on my part. I can 1000% empathize with cats acclimating to new humans in their space. As a shy cat owner myself, I usually check if food has been eaten, litter used, or if they have a not so invisible hiding place (without disturbing them). I don't like seeing scared kitties so they truly set the pace for the visits.

We were so fortunate to find Anabel on Meowtel. During her initial visit she was so kind to our family, giving special attention to our son and of course the cats. She completed all the tasks we requested, including watering our plants and bringing in our mail. One of our cats hides from other people, but that didn’t stop Anabel from cajoling her to poke her head out from up inside the box spring of our bed to entice her to take her pill pocket and receive her transdermal medication on her ear. And this was made more difficult because she had to distract the energetic other cat (a kitten) so that he didn’t eat the pill pocket. She sent us photos and updates which my son especially enjoyed. We will definitely request Anabel when we are away in the future!

Anabel is an amazing sitter! She always showed up promptly, took plenty of photos and sent detailed updates. I was confident the whole time I was away that my kitties were in the best of care. Anabel even took my trashcan up the steep driveway and to the curb without me asking! Did she also water my plants?? 😂 I don't know but they're damp and happy and healthy as well. Anabel is a Rockstar! 🤘

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Gwynn Oak cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Anabel was absolutely amazing! I went out of town for the 4th of July and was stressed about leaving my cat.
