What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

A cat sitter was my first job when I was about 10 years old! I passed out flyers in my neighborhood and offered to watch kitties while their caregivers were away. I’m a helicopter cat parent myself take caring for kitties very seriously. I take detailed notes to share with the caregiver so they feel like they never left — Eating, drinking, and bathroom habits. I also am experienced in giving medication — pills and compounded medications.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love meeting new furiends and cuddling and caring for kitties. Seeing their distinct personalities is so fun and I love building trust with positive interactions. It’s so special to be able to provide caregivers with peace of mind while they are away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two kitties. They’re 7-year-old brothers. Lumière (like the candlestick from Beauty and the Beast🥀) is a tuxsie, and Gatsby is a brownish gray kitty.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Trust your gut. You need to advocate for your kitty and choose the best match based on their needs. Ask questions and make sure your kitty feels comfortable around them.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I love to set up a meet and greet where I can come say hi to you and your cat(s). This helps me get familiar with your space and know where to find your cat’s supplies while you’re away. I use this time to earn your cat’s trust and show them that I’m a friend.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

Safety is my number one priority. I’m cautious when entering a home and close and lock the door once I’m inside. I ensure all doors and windows are closed and locked before I leave. Just like when I leave my kitties, I like to make sure I see them while I’m closing the door.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Yes, my availability is open around most holidays.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love cat wands with long ribbons and feathers for them to chase! Other favorites include, laser pointers, and cute small animals stuffed with catnip.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

My number one goal is to make a cat feel safe. I take it slow and steady, making sure they know they can trust me. I read their body language to make sure they’re ready for my presence. Once I know they’re comfortable, I offer positive reinforcement with pets, enrichment, playtime, and treats — when approved by their caregiver.

Brendan is the only person I trust to care for my medically complex, sensitive Italian Greyhounds, and that includes family. One time, while I was on a girls’ trip in Arizona, my husband had to go to the emergency room late at night. Brendan immediately went to our home in the middle of the night to care for our dogs. Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
