Since my mom is a veterinarian, I have had the privilege of having a wide variety of pets in my lifetime and know how to be around many cat breeds and temperaments! In undergrad, I took and eventually was a teaching assistant for companion animal courses (specifically shelter behavior and care/management). Additionally, I was the kennel aid at my mom's veterinary clinic and have raised my own two cats (fun fact: I grew up on a dairy farm)! If your pet loves to play, I'm your girl!

In May of 2021, I graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and a certificate in Companion Animal Nutrition!

If a medical issue arises, I will likely phone my mother, who is a veterinarian, in addition to using Meowtel resources, for her input on next steps (as well as contacting the owner, of course). I know what is expected of me and appreciate any opportunity! I offer check-ins and house-sitting in clients’ homes! Unfortunately, I do not offer boarding in my own apartment since I have two cats who need their space.
Leaving your pet in someone else’s hands, even for a little bit, is really tough, therefore I will text you and send pictures of your cat to you frequently! Cuddles and playing with toys are some of my favorite feline-friendly activities. I can always find something to do with your pet and know how important it is to take care of pets with separation anxiety.
Watching cats should be more than just feeding, playing, and scooping litterboxes! I am more than happy to do other cat related chores such as cleaning, refilling, basic grooming, etc. Unfortunately, I do not have a green thumb.
No matter how big or how small, I am always happy to help keep them comfortable and happy while you are away! I hope to see you and your furry friends very soon!

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I have extensive experience catsitting for personal friends and family. I’ve watched cats of all kinds and with many different medical needs. I’ve been professionally petsitting for 8 years.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I have two domestic shorthaired cats. Their names are Monkey and Matzah. I got them both at 4 months old. They are now 4 years old and loving life.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
The biggest piece of advice I would give customers who are looking to hire a cat sitter is PLAN AHEAD. Your cats may love the sitter while you are home and hate them while you are gone. It’s helpful to offer a trial stay (please pay your sitter for this) to ensure your cat and the sitter are both comfortable. It may be an extra hassle but I found it to be well worth the comfort knowing my cats are happy.

If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
