What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What is not to love about getting to spend quality time with cats? My favorite part is getting to know each catās unique personality and bonding with them over the course of the pet sit, always letting the pace & boundaries of each cat lead the way. I am especially delighted when I get to work with repeat clients & continue fostering that bond!
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety of your cat(s) and your home is of the utmost importance to me. I keep all personal information private. I work with whatever methods each client is most comfortable with including physical key copies or key codes for home entry. As a cat parent myself, I am familiar with quick, focused, and cautious entry if there are any escape artist kitties in the home. It is very important to me that pet parents communicate any behavioral or other safety concerns they may have for their cat(s) while away.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am available most major & minor holidays, but often book up in advance with regular pet sitting clients so I recommend booking early when possible.

Jessica was great! The meet and greet was very friendly, and she was genuinely eager to learn about our kitties and their personalities. While we were away, she sent us daily updates and pictures - and honestly, the pictures she took were better than most of the ones I take! The litter box was kept clean, and our cats were happy, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. She made sure to spend time playing with them, and they were always happy to see her. She also gave us some thoughtful advice about things we can do for our kitties the next time we travel. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for both us and our cats, and I would absolutely book Jessica again. We felt very comfortable knowing our kitties were in such good hands!

As the mother of 3 very attention-seeking cat children, having someone reliable and friendly is very important any time i go out of town. The cats and I LOVE Jess. Whether my plans are short or long, Jess is always willing to try and pencil us in. I have been working with Jess for years and have never had any issue or concerns--i know that the cats are in good hands with her. She is our #1 choice any time i need to leave town. In fact, the cats seem to love her more than they love me. She is always quick to respond, sends photos of the babies, and helps out with small things around the house. I trust her inherently and the cats and I consider her to be family.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Saint Louis cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
