What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting since I was around 14. Cats are my favorite part of life, which led me to continue cat sitting, volunteering, and getting my job at Mauhaus Cat Café. It’s extremely fufilling to know I can make sure each cat feels safe and comfortable, even if they want nothing to do with me.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have 4 cats! Stripe (the old man), Louie (the crazy one), Sage (the odd ball), and Puck (the spicy one) are my pride and joy. I would happily sell all my possessions to give them more toys and treats
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I’ll always begin with addressing any specific needs a cat may have (ex. feeding times, medical information, likes/dislikes, etc.). Then, i’d go over the duration of the stay and whether or not I am wanted to stay overnight, and how often I am needed to check in and when. If there are questions, I’d answer them as best as I could!

I cannot overstate how grateful I am to have met Sydney through this app! She was communicative throughout our trip, sending so many pictures of my sweet baby to me. She knew I had a concern about a bald spot on his head, and made sure to take some time to test for fleas and share her knowledge and experience. Sydney was so sweet and I felt so comfortable and reassured by her. We will absolutely be booking with her again.

Sydney was excellent with our very full house of cats - we’ve got a range between a younger boy with a LOT of energy and several seniors that just want attention and cuddles and she handled it all with aplomb. She was friendly and communicated well - we could rest very assured that the cats were in good hands while we were away! We’ll definitely be booking with her again :)

Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Saint Louis cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
