What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

I would want to be sure the sitter was reliable and truly loved cats. If I had a cat that required medication I would be sure that they were capable of administering the medication.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I make sure to be take care that the cat doesn’t get out when entering and exiting the home. I would also make sure all windows were closed.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I have had a lot of experience in handling these types of kitties as a veterinarian. First I evaluate their body language and determine if they are anxious or afraid. Next I would gradually introduce myself to them buy letting them smell my hand and attempt to give them a scratch. If they were reluctant to approach I might try to win them over with a owner approved treat. If they still were reluctant to approach ( or remain hiding under a couch) I would leave them alone for a bit while doing other tasks and try again after they were(hopefully) a bit more relaxed.

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.
