I’m used to caring for little humans all day, so making sure your cat feels safe, comfortable, and cared for comes very naturally to me.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most is getting to know each cat’s personality. Every cat is so different. Some are playful and social right away, and others take their time and need a calm presence. I really love building that trust, especially with shy cats. It’s so rewarding when a timid kitty finally comes out for pets or sits near you. I also genuinely enjoy the quiet, peaceful time that comes with cat visits.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes, I have a cat of my own named Luna. She is very talkative, energetic, a little bossy, and incredibly loving. She definitely keeps me on my toes and has a big personality. Living with her has taught me how to read cat behavior, respect boundaries, and understand that every cat communicates differently. Being a cat mom myself makes me even more aware of how important it is to leave your pet with someone who truly cares.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I take things very slowly and always let the cat set the pace. I never force interaction. I’ll sit quietly, speak softly, and give them space while still being present. I pay attention to their body language and adjust based on what makes them feel comfortable. Sometimes that means just calmly sitting in the room so they get used to me. My experience as an elementary school teacher has really helped with this too because patience and reading nonverbal cues are things I practice every day. Over time, most anxious cats start to relax once they realize I’m consistent and gentle.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
