One of my favorite things about Lily is how vocal she is, and how she greets me at the door when I come home from work! Of course, as Lily has aged, we've faced some medical challenges over the past few years.
Learning how to give medications and find the right foods for Lily's diet has invovled a certain amount of trial and error.... Hi, there! My name is Christine, and I'm a cat mom to Lily, my 8 year old tabby cat. Lily came into my life by way of the Wake SPCA back in January 2020. 🐱
One of my favorite things about Lily is how vocal she is, and how she greets me at the door when I come home from work! Of course, as Lily has aged, we've faced some medical challenges over the past few years.
Learning how to give medications and find the right foods for Lily's diet has invovled a certain amount of trial and error. But caring for Lily has made me more attuned to spotting changes in her behavior, and I feel confident in knowing when we need to give our vet a call. This, of course, is same level of attention and support I give to all cats under my care.
Aside from being Lily's #1 fan, I have a career in public sector and spend my free time hiking and solo traveling. As much as I'd love for Lily to adventure with me outside on the trails, she's content with watching BirderKing on YouTube at home. 🐦

What is your favorite cat toy?
I love buying Lily unique cat toys off Etsy! She loves anything wool, especially if there's catnip inside. She has the most fun with the wool toys that she can kick around on the floor!
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
Anxious cats deserve the same care as our social butterflies! Lily was a pandemic pet, so we prioritized slow introductions with guests over the years. It's important to meet the cat where they're at but also encourage confidence with positive enforcement and lots of patience.

We usually have a family member watch our cats while we're away. So this was one of the only times we had someone come in to take care of them. Christine did an outstanding job. She sent us pictures daily of each cat. One of our cats is on a medication that he needs twice a day.She did an amazing job getting him to take it. I would highly recommend her and will definitely call her again if we need a cat sitter

Our reservation with Christine was great! She took such good care of our two senior cats, and it didn’t take her long to figure out their unique personalities! She administered daily oral medication to one of them with no problems. Christine is a superb communicator, and sent us daily messages, photos, and videos of our cats while we were away. Most importantly, our cats loved her, and they were well taken care of, so when we returned it was like we never left!

My recent reservation with Christine was wonderful! This was my second time requesting her to sit for our two senior cats. Christine is very thoughtful about my cats’ needs, and is a great communicator. I received daily chats and pictures while away, which is reassuring because I know exactly how they are doing and don’t have to worry if they are being taken care of. Also, one of my cats takes daily medication, and Christine handles it without issue. My cats love her, and I don’t have to worry about their care while away-this really says it all for me!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Raleigh cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

I cannot say enough good things about Christine!!! She took the time to talk to me and understand my babies needs and care and special instructions. She even came by to do a walk-thru just to be sure!!! She sent regular updates and made sure my babies were safe and cared for! She went above and beyond and I would not hesitate to have her watch over my babies whenever I need to leave town!
