Hi, I’m a lifelong cat lover with over a decade of professional, cat-focused experience. I’ve been working as a veterinary technician with cats since 2010, and I currently volunteer with local rescue groups, often providing in-home, overnight care for postoperative and special-needs cats.

Hi, I’m a lifelong cat lover with over a decade of professional, cat-focused experience. I’ve been working as a veterinary technician with cats since 2010, and I currently volunteer with local rescue groups, often providing in-home, overnight care for postoperative and special-needs cats.

What sets me apart as a sitter is my calm, patient approach. When meeting a cat for the first time, I never rush interaction. I sit quietly, allow the cat to observe me, and let them approach at their own pace. I’m very attentive to feline body language and stress signals, and I adjust my care based on each cat’s personality and comfort level.

Because of my veterinary background, I’m experienced with administering medications, monitoring recovery, and noticing subtle changes in behavior or health. I take routines seriously: from feeding and litter habits to preferred play styles, because consistency helps cats feel safe while their humans are away.

My goal is always the same: to reduce stress, build trust, and provide gentle, reliable care so your cat feels secure and well cared for in their own home.

Learn More About Yuliya

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been providing cat care for over 10 years. Alongside my work as a veterinary technician since 2010, I have regularly cared for cats in home settings through rescue work and postoperative in-home care, including overnight stays. This experience has given me extensive hands-on knowledge of feline behavior, health monitoring, and individualized care in a home environment.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I love earning a cat’s trust and watching them relax and feel comfortable in my presence. Every cat has a unique personality, and it’s very rewarding to give them calm, gentle care so they feel safe and at ease while their family is away.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite reservations are caring for shy or recovering cats who need a calm, patient presence. I especially enjoy postoperative or special-needs sits, where I can use my veterinary background to provide attentive care and monitoring while helping the cat feel safe and relaxed in their own home. Watching a cat become more comfortable and trusting over the course of a visit is always very rewarding.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I share my home with three cats. Mashka is very shy and keeps to herself. Ginger is outgoing, playful, and loves fetch, he was a bottle baby and has a very unique personality. Tosha is confident and opinionated with a strong temperament.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Look for a sitter who understands cat behavior and is comfortable with different personalities, from shy hiders to playful social cats. Consistency, patience, and respect for routines are key to keeping cats stress-free while you’re away.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I begin with a conversation to understand your cat’s needs, habits, and preferences. I make sure all instructions are clear before the sit. While caring for your cat, I stick to their routine and communicate regularly so you always know how things are going.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I carefully check doors, windows, and the home environment during every visit. I look for any new or unusual items on the floor that a cat could chew or ingest. I use a checklist for every sit and verbally confirm tasks as I complete them to make sure nothing is overlooked. I leave the checklist after each visit for transparency.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I’m usually available during holidays and try to accommodate my clients whenever possible. If I’m ever unavailable, I check the calendar in advance and let you know, so we can plan ahead.

What is your favorite cat toy?

My favorite cat toy is a stick with a little rope and a mouse on the end, it’s always a hit with cats! Of course, every cat has their own preferences. I’ve learned from my three cats that they each have their favorite designated toys, and I always respect those preferences when playing.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

When I care for timid or anxious cats, I give them plenty of space and let them approach me on their own terms. I sit nearby, move slowly, and speak softly, allowing them to feel safe. Most cats gradually get comfortable and start interacting once they trust me.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Youngsville cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $23.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet!
