Cats have owned me my entire life. For the last 15 years I’ve had 2-3 kitties at home, with all the different personalities that come with them! I’ve been caring for pets professionally for 2 years and this is what I do full time so I typically have availability every day!

Going on vacation? Your cat stays in their own home, in their own routine, with someone who genuinely gets them. I have hands-on experience with pilling (the sneaky treat method included), subcutaneous fluids, ear creams, and cats managing kidney disease and urinary issues.
My visits with your cat will typically start with me getting eyes on them, even the most elusive! Their health and safety is my primary concern. Then I take care of their chores. After all the necessary things are done for the day, we spend the remainder of my time with them however they want! Sometimes that’s playing with their string toy, sometimes it’s giving them ear scratches while they sit in my lap, and sometimes it’s playing calming music and just sitting near them (treats at the ready!) to build trust. I move at their pace.
I require a meet & greet before every new booking so we can walk through your cat’s needs, routines, medications, and where everything lives and so your cat can decide I’m tolerable before you leave town. 😄

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
My favorite moments cat sitting are when I’m told a cat is elusive and probably won’t come out for me, and then I win them over. I love breaking cats out of their shell because it always has to be done on their terms, and they will only do it if you’re a calm presence and they trust you. I feel honored when a shy cat shows they are ok being around me!
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two feisty and social boys, Rocky & Cheesy. Rocky was adopted from a rescue in North Platte, where he was found injured on the side of the highway. He’s a small boy with a big personality who loves snuggles and playing. Cheesy was found by a dumpster at an Amigos in Lincoln. Our vet was fostering him and recommended him to us. He loves laying in the window, and getting head scratches while he drools.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions! Too many people out there think cats are simple creatures who just need food and water thrown out there. They need love, attention & mental stimulation too. Your cats sitter should understand that and be adaptable to your cats personality.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Omaha cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $26.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
