I’m basically “Snuggle Certified” and a pro at all things litter box (glamorous, I know 😹). You can count on me for fresh meals, clean litter, playtime, and all the cozy companionship your cat needs while you’re away. I’ve got experience giving meds—pills, liquids, eye drops, ear drops, and topical treatments—no problem at all!
I’ve spent my whole life around cats, and my continuous volunteer work with Catz Angels has given me even more experience with all kinds of feline personalities—including nervous or shy shelter cats who need extra patience and care... Hi there! I’m Summer — a total cat lover and proud kitty cuddler. I treat every cat like they’re my own, whether they’re sunbeam snoozers, zoomie champs, or cuddle bugs (extra points if they’re a little spicy 😼).

I have five cats that I absolutely treasure and cherish—they’re truly my babies and part of my family. Their names are Kyo (orange tabby), Tohru (sassy tortie), Yuki (ch grey tabby), Kisa (torbie), and Haru (cow). Each one has their own quirks, charm, and place in my heart. Life with them is full of snuggles, silliness, and so much love!💕
What makes me different? I genuinely adore cats — and I pay close attention to all the little details that help your kitty feel safe and at home. I stick to their routine, respect their vibe, and send plenty of photo updates so you always feel connected.
I take a fear-free approach to cat care, always moving at your kitty’s pace, using calm energy, and making sure every interaction is gentle and stress-free.
I also have a CH kitty of my own, so I’m experienced with special needs cats. I understand the extra care and patience they may need — and I’m more than happy to give it! 💛🐾

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is building trust with each cat and getting to know their adorable quirks. Whether it’s a slow blink from a shy kitty, a playful zoomie session, or just quietly sitting in the same room while they nap—I love being part of their little world and making sure they feel safe, loved, and at home while their people are away. And yes—I have a soft spot for the spicy kitties too! I respect their space and sass, and enjoy earning their trust on their terms. 🐈⬛🐈
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Find someone who truly enjoys being around cats and takes the time to understand your kitty’s needs. Updates, routine care, and good vibes go a long way! 🐱✨
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to start with a quick chat to get to know you and your cat. I’ll ask about their routine, favorite spots, any quirks, and how they like to be cared for. Once you’re booked, I stick to your kitty’s routine, send daily updates with cute pics, and make sure they’re getting all the love, playtime, and quiet cuddles they need. 🐾 My goal is to keep things calm, cozy, and just how your cat likes it while you’re away! 💛
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Your cat’s safety (and your home’s!) is super important to me. I always double-check doors, and anything your cat could sneak into or knock over. I follow your care instructions closely, keep litter areas tidy, and make sure your kitty stays safe and stress-free. I also treat your home with total respect—lights, locks, feeding areas, all just how you left them. You’ll get regular updates so you know everything’s going smoothly. 🐾🏡
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yup, I’m available on holidays! I know how important it is to have reliable care during those times, and I’m happy to keep your kitty comfy and cared for while you’re away celebrating. Just be sure to book early—holidays tend to fill up fast!
What is your favorite cat toy?
It depends on the kitty, but around here we love feather toys, springs, wormies, and kickers! Some cats like to chase, some love a good bunny kick, and some just want a cozy toy to nap with. 😸 Our cow kitty, Haru, even plays fetch—he loves bringing us toys to toss for him! 🐄🎾
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
For shy or anxious cats, I take things extra slow and let them come around on their own terms. I stay calm, move gently, and give them space to feel safe. I’ll sit nearby, talk softly, and just be present until they’re comfortable. I totally respect their boundaries and never rush things—earning their trust is one of my favorite parts of cat sitting ♥️

Summer watched my two cats for a week while I was on vacation. Both cats are seniors and one is special needs, so I knew before I booked any sitter that I wanted to ask them about their experience and comfortability level. Summer happily answered all of my questions and I chose to book her, and I am so happy with my decision! Summer was highly communicative, sending pictures of my cats most days and always sending picture confirmation that they were fed. She had no issues giving my special baby his multiple meds, including his insulin shot. She visited twice a day, morning and evening, and let me know when she arrived and left. On day 2 Summer let me know that my auto feeder unfortunately wasn't working, and I'm so thankful she was happy to pivot to manual feeding instead. Summer also took the time to befriend my very shy cat! I told Summer during the meet and greet that my shy cat probably wouldn't voluntarily come out, which was okay, I just showed Summer where she hides and asked that she visually confirm my cat was okay when she visits. During the catsitting, Summer not only checked on my shy girl but also took the time to befriend her! I'm so happy Summer made the extra effort to make my girl feel comfortable coming out to play and get pets instead of hiding most of the time. Overall, Summer went above and beyond! I am so happy that I booked her: I cannot recommend her enough!

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:

- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Omaha cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
