I have had 5 cats in my life. My first was my absolute baby Roxy who I got as a child. Since her I have had four more, Little, Midnight, and Leo. While some have passed on, I gave them all the love in the world while I had time with them, and will impart that same love onto yours.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

When working with a new cat parent, I like to get as much information as I can about your relationship. What does your feline like? Where do they liked to be pet? What are their hiding spots? What is their attitude? Do they respond to certain shows/music? When do they come to cuddle vs hide away? Understanding the relationship between the feline and its owner is crucial to understanding how to care for your feline.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Some cats are more friendly than others, but in every cat is a friend, and some just take longer to warm up! Timid cats are of course going to be timid when a stranger shows up in their home. The most important thing is to not make yourself a stranger! Cats like dogs are very scent oriented animals, as well as territorial. How I would deal with an anxious cat is to get as low as I can and place something with my scent a bit in front of me. This allows the cat to come get used to me without having to come near me, and allowing them to come to me at their own pace once they feel comfortable. This sometimes takes a bit but anything is worth it for your fur baby!

Cancellation Policy

Customers may cancel within 24 hours of making their reservation and receive a 100% refund, and the sitter will not receive any earnings. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

Customers will receive a 100% refund to their Account Balance if they cancel anytime up to 48 hours before the start date of the reservation, and the sitter will not receive any earnings.

Customers will receive a 50% refund, and the sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings if the customer cancels between 24-48 hours of the start of the reservation.

No refund will be issued within 24 hours of the reservation, and the sitter will keep 100% of their planned earnings.

The Meowtel Promise & Satisfaction Guarantee

We are proud to provide each of our independently-contracted Meowtel cat sitters with the full benefits of our Meowtel Promise on eligible reservations. For reservations where each visit is at or above $20 and paid for through Meowtel, your cat(s) will automatically be covered under our insurance policy in the event that things don't go as planned.

If you are not fully satisfied with your sitter after the Meet & Greet or during the reservation, please call 1-844-636-9835 so we can help you re-book with a new sitter to ensure we can deliver on our purrfect hospitality promise.
