I have always had a soft spot when it comes to cats. I feel like they are always the under recognized house hold pet compared to dogs, when cats just need as much love as dogs.
I have grown up with cats my entire life. I had my first cat when I was a toddler and she became our family cat. Once I moved out on my own, I rescued 2 kittens from a kill shelter in the Carolinas... I am the type of person who goes away on vacation and see's a stray cat and HAS to stop and pet them... and then feel extremely bad and brainstorm a thousand ways I can potentially bring them back.

I have grown up with cats my entire life. I had my first cat when I was a toddler and she became our family cat. Once I moved out on my own, I rescued 2 kittens from a kill shelter in the Carolinas. I love sitting on the couch and just have a cat next to me or on my lap.
I have been a pet sitter on other pet sitting applications for the past 2 years, but I really want to be able to spend more time with cats specifically.
I will give your cat(s) the love and attention as if they were my own. I am comfortable with kittens all the way to senior cats. I have administered medication before.
Availability wise; I work full time as an Emergency Room nurse. I have a set schedule of Monday through Thursdays 7a-5p (flexing sometimes 6a-4p). I can accommodate visits during my work day and come before and after work!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have two; Jazzi and Abbi! They are from the same liter. They are tortieshells (yes they have the tortietude). I absolutely adore them and treat them like they are my children (they are my children).
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I would like the owner to meet me before they go away. That way I can introduce myself to the cat while their owners are present (it helps with shy or anxious cats to recognize me as a familiar scent while around their owners), plus I want the owners to know who I am and feel comfortable with me in their home and watching their babies.
Are you usually available during holidays?
I am available every single holiday. I do not travel during the holidays and only have dinner with my family who are local.
What is your favorite cat toy?
I absolutely love the toys on sticks. I like to be able to swing it around and make them either jump, or climb on their scratchers to get the toy.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I don't force any type of contact. Timid / Shy cats need to come to you when they are ready. Forcing any type of contact is going to make them feel more anxious and ultimately they will hide or won't come out for you. I try to sit on the floor at their level with either treats or toys and let them come to me.

This was my second time booking Julianne to look after my two cats while I was away on vacation. It is clear that she truly cares about cats and she took excellent care of my two boys who have very different personalities. She gave pets and cuddles to the one who craves attention and affection, and gave the shyer one the space he needed to feel comfortable coming out and approaching her on his own terms. She even let me know when they were running low on hairball aid treats so I could order more. I would absolutely use her again.

I was initially nervous about leaving my cats for the first time but Julianne was kind and understanding. She sent me pictures daily and gave the one who wanted love plenty of it while I was gone. I plan to use her as a cat sitter again if/when I need one in the future.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Parsippany cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $27.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
