To give a bit of background I graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with my Bachelors of Science in Animal science. I have been in the animal industry for about 11 years now. I have worked with both large animals and small animals in various settings, including working on a racehorse farm, becoming a small animal surgical technician, being an animal shelter supervisor, managing a veterinary hospital, and most recently being the Assistant Director for Animal Welfare... Hi! My name is Sheeka. I am new to Vegas and I am really excited to see what this area has to offer and build up a new set of kitties to care for as this is one of my favorite things to do.

Although I have worked with many animals, my specialty is kitties and pride myself in being able to resonate with shy kitties also. I have 2 cats of my own! Penny who is about 17 and Peach who is 2. I adopted them both and they are definitely my best friends.
In my free time I focus on my insurance company helping people protect what matters most ,and have a passion for exploring new sites especially anything involving the water. Please don't hesitate to message me with any questions you may have. I have experience with cats that have special needs such as ones that require pills, insulin, and fluids. I typically ask for a 3 day notice when requesting a new client booking, but I understand that emergencies arise so I try my best to accommodate any special requests. If your cat has any special things they like such as a specific toy or treat that's always good to know and I will always treat your cats as if they were my own. I look forward to exploring this new city and meeting wonderful people along with their beautiful cats!😸

Cat sitting has become one of my favorite hobbies. I've been doing it for 3 years over 2 different states.

Sheeka was terrific! Both of my boys instantly took a liking to her and our difficult Moose even let her administer his medicine at the Meet & Greet. Sheeka was punctual and responsive, and went the extra mile to send pictures of my kitties with each visit. And when the pictures didn't come through one time, she assured me that my boys were taken care of and sent them again. She gave me and my spouse much needed peace of mind so that we could enjoy our anniversary away from home. Thank you so much, Sheeka!

Tasheeka was excellent. She came early to meet Max and he was comfortable with her right away and you could tell she has an affinity and warmness with animals. She was prompt every day, sent pics, played with Max and followed instructions to the letter. Max was in good hands with Tasheeka and that made our vacation go much easier.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Las Vegas cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $25.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

My husband and I are so thankful to have come across Sheeka. In our meet & greet, she was so kind and filled our home with such warmth. We could instantly tell her love and care towards kitties. We have one cat (Monkey) who is extremely shy - runs and hides instantly. Sheeka is the only person that has ever been able to make her feel safe and comfortable since day 1. She is the very first sitter (and person ever) to get Monkey out of hiding and out for interaction (and treats!!). Sheeka cared for our kitties and home like we would. She took time to listen to the unique needs of our cats, and then spent quality time with them. It made us feel so good while we were gone for two weeks! Monkey and Button LOVE their Auntie Sheeka now! :) OH - and we're so thankful for the wonderful updates about how they are doing. We adored every photo that was shared from each visit! When we returned home, everything was clean, food & water were plentiful, and the litter was in amazing shape. Thank you so much Sheeeka!!

I am so grateful to have found Tasheeka! She was easy to communicate with prior to my trip and came over a few days before I left to meet my kitties and see their setup. My furry friends are normally nervous around new people but they quickly came out to meet Tasheeka and were immediately comfortable with her. She has such a kind and warm personality and I knew right away that my kitties would be in good hands with her.
