Also, if your fur baby is on medication or has special needs, my attention to detail will take all of your worries away. In addition, I am experienced with feline diabetes and the special care our diabetic babies require. I have first hand experience administering insulin, and am happy to take over this task any time you need a holiday.

I realize finding the purrrfect someone to care for kitty can be a daunting task. Just know that my goal is to always make kitty happy and feel loved.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I have been kitty sitting for a little over 5 years and have been a kitty mom all of my life. I am experienced with not only elderly felines, but also experienced with finicky eaters, and the shy and quiet types as well.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy cats... all types of cats! I love the big ones, the little ones, and everyone in-between. And when they purrrrr... I'm in my happy place!

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

I don't have a favorite reservation... I love every reservation I've had, have now, and will have in the future. What I can say is when a shy kitty finally approaches me - I feel an instant connection. And when an unfriendly kitty suddenly begins to purr and face-rubs my hand as an invitation for loves and scratches... I know we're going to be besties!

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I do not have kitties of my own right now. I lost my soul-cat Bella to diabetes a couple of years ago and now enjoy sharing all of my kitty love with my Meowtel kitty clients.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Finding that special person for you and kitty can be stressful. Be sure you go with your inner feelings when making a choice. I also think the right person will be happy to stop by and meet you and kitty. Me personally, I wouldn't have it any other way. One last thing, your kitty will definitely help you decide. Cats are smart! They know who they like and why they like them. Listen carefully to your fur baby because many times they'll help you choose their perfect person.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I believe a visit is the very best way to say hello and start a friendship. By meeting face-to-face and whisker-to-whisker, we're able to put aside and stranger fears and have a heartfelt beginning ❤️

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I ensure safety and security by being ultra responsible. I believe communication and showing up are key elements when it comes to peace of mind.

Are you usually available during holidays?

Typically, I can be available during holidays. We would need to visit about your schedule and my schedule to be absolutely sure of concrete dates.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I do love a great stick with a string and feathers however, it's fun to watch a kitty turn into wild cat while chasing a laser! So cute and entertaining!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

Awwww, I totally understand being afraid of new people and things. The world can be scary for someone so small. Personally, I've found that time, patience, and gentleness are the perfect cocktail for a new friendship. I find sitting on the floor and talking to kitty gently and quietly makes for a wonderful beginning.

Kathy has done a wonderful job for me throughout this past month with both daily visits and overnights. The cats love her and she does a great job communicating her schedule so I always know when she'll be coming. My cats are long-haired and she goes the extra mile to brush them and sweep up their shedding. She also checks my fish pond daily and is happy to water plants for me. I have complete confidence in her and plan to continue using her in the future.

Kathy was great with our three cats and handled our litter robots and auto feeders (pet libros) with ease! She even handled a snafu with our auto lock and was patient enough that we could open our garage door for her instead. Kathy took the extra time to vacuum up litter and give the cats attention. Kathy was very quick to respond and provided perfect detailed updates. My senior cat and my extremely shy younger cat, who hides from everyone, warmed up to her faster than I ever thought possible! She respected their boundaries and took care of them as if they were her own. Kathy’s attention to detail and genuine affection for my cats completely eased my anxiety of being away from them. She was everything I could ask for, and I can’t recommend her highly enough!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:

More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
