I'm a substitute teacher at an elementary school and am studying to become a court reporter... Hi, I’m Gaby. I love the affection cats give you when no one is looking. At the end of the day they crave your love and affection. All they want is for you to sit still so they can climb on your lap and get pets. Having been a mom to two super senior cats, I understand how finicky cats can be and the importance of maintaining their routine.
I'm a substitute teacher at an elementary school and am studying to become a court reporter. With 15 years of experience as a project manager, I believe timelines, checklists, and attention to detail are key for delivering superb customer service not just to human clients, but to feline clients as well.
I am a Las Vegas cat sitter serving the areas of Sunrise Manor, Whitney, and Downtown Las Vegas. While these are my preferred areas for cat sitting services, I service all of east Las Vegas.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one super senior calico cat named, Gina. I adopted her from NSPCA in 2009 when she was one year old. She was returned twice to the shelter for destructive behavior and for having litter box issues. She just needed some TLC and medication to get her feeling all better. She gets nightly nose drops for an upper respiratory affliction she has battled with for a decade. Her favorite toy is a string, and like other cats, she prefers cardboard boxes to her fluffy bed. (UPDATE: Gina crossed the Rainbow Bridge in May 2024. I'm grieving her loss, but cat sitting has brought me great comfort.)
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I ensure the safety of the cats by opening the door slowly to ensure they don't run out in case they are waiting at the door. I also make sure to put away any toys that were taken out during play time. If I see anything unusual in eating habits or litter box usage, I inform the cat parent to find out if there have been any changes in the cat's health recently. I ensure the security of the home by making sure necessary windows and shades are closed before I leave, and I double check that the doors actually lock behind me. I also bring in any packages left on the door step.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I am usually available during holidays. I'll be available Thanksgiving weekend and for NYE. I will be traveling for Christmas 2025 and will NOT be available Dec. 23-25. I'll update my calendar as the days get closer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Las Vegas cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $24.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
