I'm Taylor
Cat Sitting in Reno, NV
I’m currently completing a wildlife technician skill certification, which has strengthened my understanding of animal behavior, body language, and stress signals. Beca... Hi! I’m Taylor, a Reno-based cat lover with a calm, patient approach to care. I’ve grown up with cats my whole life and truly believe every cat has their own unique personality, and I always let them set the pace, whether they’re cuddly and social, independent and observant, or a little more “spicy.”
I’m currently completing a wildlife technician skill certification, which has strengthened my understanding of animal behavior, body language, and stress signals. Because of that training, I’m especially comfortable with shy, skittish, or more particular cats. I don’t take defensive behavior personally, I see it as communication. I’m happy to move slowly, respect boundaries, and create a low stress environment so your cat feels safe and in control.
Your cat’s comfort and routine are my top priorities, and I’ll always provide reliable communication and thoughtful photo updates so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away.
Learn More About Taylor
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
I would encourage cat parents to look for someone who truly understands that cats communicate differently than dogs. A great cat sitter should be patient, respectful of boundaries, and comfortable working at the cat’s pace. Especially with shy or “spicier” personalities. It’s also important to choose someone who is observant and attentive to subtle changes in behavior, appetite, or litter box habits. Cats are masters at hiding stress or discomfort, so having a sitter who can notice small shifts makes a big difference. Most importantly, find someone you feel comfortable communicating with. Clear updates and mutual trust help ensure your cat, and your home, are in good hands.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like to start with a meet and greet to learn about your cat’s routine, preferences, and personality. During that visit, I’ll ask about feeding schedules, litter habits, enrichment, hiding spots, and any medical or behavioral considerations. Once care begins, I prioritize keeping routines consistent and minimizing stress. I always approach slowly, read body language carefully, and let the cat initiate interaction when possible. After each visit, I send detailed updates with photos so you know how your cat is doing.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
Safety is always my top priority. I double check doors, windows, and any potential escape points at every visit, and I’m careful when entering and exiting homes, especially with curious or quick cats. Because I’m completing a wildlife technician skill certification, I’m trained to observe animal behavior closely. I pay attention to signs of stress, illness, or environmental risks and address concerns promptly. I also respect your home as if it were my own; keeping spaces tidy, maintaining routines, and ensuring everything is secure before I leave. Clear communication is part of safety too, so you’ll always be informed about how things are going.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
