I’m a lifelong cat parent who understands how important routine, comfort, and consistency are when you’re away. I provide calm, low-stress care and follow your instructions closely to keep your cat’s environment as familiar as possible.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
Yes! I currently have one cat named Mango. I adopted her in 2022 through a great local NYC organization called Astoria Cat Rescue.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Trust is the most important factor when choosing a cat sitter. Cats are family, and you are inviting someone into both your home and your cat’s safe space. I would encourage cat parents to look for a sitter who truly understands cats and respects that each one has their own personality, boundaries, and routine. Lifelong cat people often recognize when to engage and when to give space, which is especially important for keeping visits low-stress. Clear communication, following instructions closely, and providing updates are also key so you can feel confident that your cat is being cared for thoughtfully while you’re away.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When working with a new client, I start by learning about their cat’s routine, personality, and any specific preferences or quirks. From there, I confirm key logistics such as visit timing, feeding instructions, and where supplies are kept, along with anything they would like me to prioritize during visits. I also gather important details in advance, including their primary vet, an emergency contact, and how reachable they will be while away. This ensures I’m fully prepared to handle any situation that may come up. Before the first visit, I align on communication preferences so updates feel consistent, reassuring, and tailored to what they want. My goal is for each client to leave feeling completely comfortable, knowing their cat’s routine will be maintained and their care handled reliably.

She is extremely clean and mindful of the apartment as well. After every visit she sent amazing and detailed updates and pics. Clara absolutely couldn’t spend enough time with Erin, she loved her! Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Astoria cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.
