Outside of caring for cats, I figure skate, love live music, cook, and love crafting.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I’ve been cat sitting pretty regularly for 5 years now, and was referred to Meowtel by a fellow sitter. Prior to that, I "cat sat" on an ad hoc basis for friends, relatives, and neighbors.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
The cats, obviously! I love meeting new cats and spending time getting to know them. I like giving people peace of mind that their cats are well cared for while they're away.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I have one cat named Zelda! She's been with me for going on 10 years--I can't believe it's been that long. She is my best buddy and sleeps by my head or on my legs every night. She and I communicate with each other very well. I know her body language and specific meows, and she understands me as well.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?
Ask questions, read sitter profiles, and check out reviews! Complete your cat's vet release information ahead of time. Also ensure before your reservation begins that you have everything your cats need.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I like meeting new clients in person so I can get to know them and their cat(s), so I schedule meet and greets shortly after confirming a reservation request. This also allows both me and the client to feel secure that I have access to their home by testing out keys and door codes in advance.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I'm careful entering and exiting homes while I am cat sitting, because some kitties are verrry interested in what's beyond the doors! I always lock the door after I have entered and monitor any changes in the home, if it's too hot or cold, open/closed windows, anything that has moved since my last visit. If the temperature is an issue I will contact the cat parent and ask for next steps, like turning on the air conditioning, opening or closing windows, turning on the heat, etc.
Are you usually available during holidays?
It depends on the holiday--please message me to discuss because oftentimes I can accommodate.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Wands! They’re great for exercise for both me and the cat, and for some kitties it can get out any zoomies and tire them out a bit.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I let them come to me. They're not unlike people; I ask myself how I would feel if someone I didn't know came up to me demanding I talk to them or if they tried to touch me without my consent. I talk to them and acknowledge them, but don't force any interaction. I have some clients with more anxious kitties and over time they have gotten to know me and are less shy and skittish.

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th

Karina's holiday surcharge is 20%.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Woodside cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Karina is an amazing cat-sitter! She followed all our instructions perfectly and left everything sparkling clean too, even taking out the trash for us. I always get anxious leaving our two cats, but Karina sends tons of photos and videos and seeing how happy they were with her made me feel at ease. One of our cats is very skittish and nervous around strangers, but she always came out by the end of Karina's visits. She also brought in our mail for us which was much appreciated! Karina to the rescue again! My two cats, with wildly opposing temperament, love her! Banana is usually very aggressive and territorial and Arbee is ultra shy, but Karina is able to bond with Banana and Arbee is less and less shy with her. I can now travel with a peace of mind.
