Why am I on Meowtel? I absolutely adore cats, and have been my friends' and neighbors' go-to cat sitter in the past... Hello! My name is Lia, and I am an experienced cat sitter and former cat mom. Depending on scheduling and what's needed, I am available for either drop-in visits or at-home stays. In addition to the typical feeding, cleaning, cuddles/pets etc, I also love enrichment activities for cats and will do my best to help your kitt(ies) get some exercise and playtime.
Why am I on Meowtel? I absolutely adore cats, and have been my friends' and neighbors' go-to cat sitter in the past. My current living situation unfortunately doesn't allow pets, and this is another way for me to offer some nurturing and TLC to some feline friends.

Fun Fact- a quirky example of my dedication to kitties is from when I had a personal project and goal of helping my ex's 17 and 18 lb cats get to a healthier weight over the course of a year. This project was complete with a spreadsheet to track which brands/flavors/textures of various wet foods each of the kitties seemed to enjoy the most (we were transitioning away from dry free feeding) and another spreadsheet tracking their progress. After a year of enrichment/exercise and improved diet, they were 10 and 11 lbs respectively with longer healthier lives on the horizon. What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
I've been cat sitting 11 years on and off as friends and neighbors needed it. Shorter sittings would last for a few days, and the longers stays were 3-4 months for friends who were traveling/working overseas. Depending on the owners' preferences, I've done pure feeding/cleaning drop-in visits, but have also stayed over with the cats offering plenty of playtime, pets, brushing etc as well
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I wish!! My current living situation doesn't allow pets, but I do hope to soon be a cat mom once again. My former kitties were Snarf and Junimo 😺
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
I'd like to first schedule a call to go over general details and preferences, and if we're a good match, also schedule an in person visit to meet the cat(s) in question and review instructions, where things are stored, etc

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
