Hi there!! My name is Shristi and I’m an owner of a cutest and sassy 6 year old cat. I got my cat when I was getting my masters degree and she kept me sane through those two years as I was barely leaving my apartment (which also had no windows unfortunately) because I was also working from home.

I’ve also lived with multiple cats before as my roommate of 4 years had two, so we had a full house with three cats. Whenever she traveled for a few weeks, I took care of all of them, so I’m very comfortable managing different personalities, feeding routines, and giving each cat their own attention. I’ve also cat-sat for friends over the years.

I grew up in NYC and have lived in different parts of the city, and I’m currently based in Astoria and I’m happy to help you if you live in queens or manhattan. Some of my hobbies include: photography, interior decoration and recently learned sewing.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

I’ve cat sat for my roommate of 4 years who had 2 cats and I’ve also cat sat for my friends in nyc over the years.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have one 6 year old cat named Musi. In my language that means mouse and my dad used to call me that when I was a kid so I thought that was a perfect name for her.

What is your favorite cat toy?

After getting many many toys for my cat, I’ve come to the conclusion that the best one is my shoe string. Nothing gets my cat more excited than my shoe string lol

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
