What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
With over 10 years of professional experience, I’ve cared for cats of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. From energetic kittens to elderly or anxious cats, I’ve developed a gentle, observant approach that helps them feel safe, seen, and comfortable in their own home.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
Cats each have such unique energy I love discovering their personalities and earning their trust. It’s rewarding to build that quiet bond, whether through play, gentle care, or just respectful presence. Every visit feels like a chance to connect.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite experiences was an overnight stay with a shy senior cat who initially hid under the bed. By the second night, she curled up beside me and purred herself to sleep. That moment of trust made it unforgettable.
Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?
I don’t currently have pets of my own, but I grew up surrounded by animals. That upbringing gave me deep respect for their needs and a natural instinct for caregiving. I treat every pet in my care with the same love I’d give my own.
What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
We’ll begin with a meet and greet virtual or in person to go over care needs, routines, and any special instructions. I also take note of key areas like food, litter, and comfort spots to ensure your cat feels secure and your home is respected.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I’m mindful of both the pet and the space. I move calmly, secure doors, follow home protocols, and respect the cat’s boundaries. I also offer treats or soothing sounds to help them feel safe everything is done with care and presence.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Yes, I offer holiday care and accept bookings well in advance. If your requested dates aren’t listed, feel free to reach out I’m happy to open up availability when possible.
What is your favorite cat toy?
Laser pointers always get big laughs from me, but I also love feather wands and puzzle toys that bring out their hunting instincts. I match the toy to the cat’s personality for the best engagement.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I never rush them. I give them space, let them approach on their own terms, and use treats or familiar sounds to build trust. Over time, even the shyest cats usually warm up when they feel respected and safe.

Elizabeth is the best! That’s all you need to know, but I shall not gatekeep her glory! Elizabeth just cat sat for me for 10 days (45 min sessions) while I was on vacation in Hawaii, an 11-hour flight from where I live. I had never used a cat sitter before—as in, I have never left my cat Rune alone for more than a DAY, so you can imagine how skeptical and scared I was. I decided to give Meowtel a chance over Rover because I read online that Meowtel vets their cat sitters much more extensively, and I was really nervous at the prospect of allowing a stranger into my home while I was away. I’m SO GLAD I decided to trust my gut and try it, because I truly could not have asked for a better experience than the one I had with Elizabeth. I was so impressed with her. Elizabeth got in contact with me quickly after booking and asked thorough, thoughtful questions leading up to our reservation (and took her OWN notes!). It’s clear to me that she truly cares about what she does, and has extensive experience with cats, because she knows how to interact with them in a way that respects their boundaries and keeps them calm yet curious. She asks all the right questions. She is kind, calm, professional, soft spoken, follows directions to a T, she’s an excellent communicator (she told me every day what time she expected to stop by and provided photos/videos/summaries every single day), and she was so incredibly respectful of my space and things (she left everything exactly as I had it and even asked if I have any house rules and if she should take off her shoes which I thought was so sweet of her). More than experience alone though, I think she truly has a gift with feline friends. My kitty took a liking to her right away, and he normally hides under the bed and doesn’t trust strangers. Not so with Elizabeth - he saw something good in her and bravely came mosying up to her from day 1, and by day 2 he was playing and making biscuits on her! Elizabeth is the kind of person who you can tell just has good cat energy/spirit, and animals can tell too. She even still visited my kitty during a 2-day snowstorm! My flight home was also delayed and there was a possibility I would need to extend my reservation and have her come an extra day, and she said it would be absolutely no problem. I can’t tell you how much that flexibility meant to me, knowing that if need be, I wouldn’t need to book with another stranger for a day or have my kitty get to know somebody else again. She spent every day checking for all the things I asked her to, playing with my kitty, giving him treats, and most of all giving him love, enrichment, and human interaction. I can’t recommend her enough. From one neurotic and overly-attached (but is there really such a thing?) cat mom to another, if you’re reading this, this is exactly who you want - you will not regret booking with Elizabeth one bit. It’s not easy being away from your pets but she will erase all anxiety and you’ll feel so much better knowing that your kitty is in the best care possible in the meantime. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future, and I know my kitty already can’t wait to see her again (I think he is seriously in love)!😻

I cannot say enough how amazing Elizabeth is taking care of my girls! One of my cats, Sassy, was just diagnosed with seizures and had started new medication. There are a few side effects and one is a decrease in appetite. Elizabeth was so insightful and kind when taking care of Sassy and so patient with encouraging her to eat. Her updates are always so thorough and I feel so much better knowing she is taking care of my girls while I'm away.

My cat loves Elizabeth! I’m usually pretty anxious about going out of town because my cat is very particular and wants a lot of attention, but she has such a fun time with Elizabeth, and she’s so relaxed and happy when I get back, so I’m not worried about going out of town anymore. Elizabeth is fantastic! My cat can often get very anxious when I am out of town, but she was so clearly happy and relaxed with Elizabeth, and she had no anxiety at all when we returned from our trip, which is super rare and an amazing reflection of Elizabeth’s care and attention. Elizabeth gave me peace of mind, while I was away from my dear fur baby...Since, I am also a professional cat sitter, I have high standards, and so I was a little nervous hiring a new cat sitter. However, during our meet and greet, she came prepared with questions I hadn't even thought of and wrote care notes on her notebook. Her demeanor was professional and made me feel that she really cares about my cat from our first meet. While I was away, she sent me detailed messages and wonderful pictures and videos of my cat a few times a day. This made me feel at ease and I was able to relax on my trip. She also left my apartment just as clean as I had left it. I would love to work with her again for my future trips!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.
Bronx cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.
Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.
We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Elizabeth is so wonderful! This is the second time she has taken care of my kitty and I knew that I could trust her with him. She really cares about him and he adores her! He came over to her often for pets and head rubs. She gave him lots of love, attention and brushing which he thrives on! This was very important to me as he and I spend a lot of affectionate time together and this was as important to me while I was away, as his physical needs being taken care of. Elizabeth is also terrific about taking care of his food, meds, litter and checking in with me. Elizabeth is fantastic and has a wonderful positive energy! My often shy kitty took to her immediately! Throughout the stay he came over for head rubs, petting and brushing. Elizabeth is very responsive and communicative. She followed my instructions well and asked for clarification if she needed it. She also left my apartment very clean. She even reactivated my fairly sedentary cat's hunting instinct with the toys, and he has become a playful cat again! It is fun to see the videos of them playing and all the other adorable videos and photos that she sent. Thank you, Elizabeth! My kitty will be happy to see you again!

Elizabeth is always great, but this last booking she really went above and beyond. We thought our doorman had a key, but it turned out that it was in the management office instead. She called to tell us about the problem, and waited patiently each of three days for someone to retrieve the keys for her. Elizabeth was extraordinarily detail oriented. She took notes during our meet and greet and made sure to follow up if she had questions about anything while staying overnight to watch our two boys for 6 days. She always sent photos and updates everyday and even went above and beyond by feeding the neighborhood cat who frequents out backyard!

Elizabeth was fantastic! My cats are older, and one of them has some health issues. Elizabeth took very good care of them, gave them their meds, and communicated with me every day about how they were doing. I really appreciated it and highly recommend her.

Elizabeth is the best!! She’s extremely thorough, communicative, and so wonderful with my two nervous cats. She gave adorable updates every day and I can tell my cats loved their time with her, they were relaxed and happy when I returned home. I was at ease on my trip knowing my cats were safe in her care!

As before, my kitty and Elizabeth had a wonderful time together. We really adores her, and it is mutual! The videos and photos she sends are fun to see. Plus, of course, she is super responsible and follows all directions with his food, litter and medications. She leaves the apt very clean. Elizabeth is fabulous are so happy to have found her!

Elizabeth is THE BEST cat sitter EVER!! she is officially Onion’s (my cat) god mother. she is AMAZING with Onion. She really goes above and beyond. She plays with onion and gives her cuddles and so much attention. She sends sooo many adorable pictures and videos of Onion. Onion looks so happy. Elizabeth is extremely respectful of my home and space. When i got home my apartment was actually CLEANER than when I left! a few things that i left on the floor she put away and such without being asked or anything. she really really goes above and beyond. I can’t recommend elizabeth enough.

Elizabeth was amazing with Spock. He’s very shy with new people and old people too. He basically just likes me and she was able to have him not run away and then towards the end let her pet him which is amazing to me. She gave me ton of information about him , and when she was going in and when she was leaving. and did everything I asked and came home to a very happy kitty.

elizabeth is the PERFECT cat sitter! i call her my cats god mother now haha. she genuinely enjoys spending time with the cats she works with and bonding. She gives my cat great exercise, makes sure her cat youtube is always on when she leaves, and gives her plenty of cuddles. she sends many pictures and videos everyday including a picture of my cats fresh food and water. she is very communicative and quick to respond if i have any questions about my cats care. she is very respectful of my home and space. when i came back home, my apartment looked very nice maybe even more clean than i left it! i cannot stress how much i encourage using elizabeth as a cat sitter!!
