At the end of the day, I just really love cats, and I take the responsibility of caring for someoneās fur baby seriously. Your cat will be in good hands, and theyāll be treated with the same love, respect, and attention I give to my own.

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?
When Iām working with a new cat parent, I like to start by getting to know what makes their cat feel comfortable and cared for. I ask about their routines, little quirks, and anything that helps their cat feel safe at home. Before the first visit, I make sure I understand all the details so thereās no stress on your end. Once Iām with your cat, I keep you updated with photos and check-ins so you always know how things are going. My goal is for both you and your cat to feel completely at ease and supported throughout the whole process.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I make safety my top priority, both for your cat and your home. I follow all instructions closely, especially around feeding, doors, windows, and anything your cat should avoid. Iām careful about keeping the environment calm and secure, double-checking that everything is closed, locked, and exactly how you left it. I also keep a close eye on your catās behavior to make sure theyāre comfortable, healthy, and not getting into anything they shouldnāt. Throughout the visit, Iāll update you so you always know your home and your fur baby are safe and well cared for.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
, pressure-free environment. I let them stay in their favorite hiding spots and just let them get used to my presence first. I move slowly, speak gently, and only approach if they show signs that theyāre comfortable. Sometimes itās a few slow blinks from across the room, sometimes itās a quiet moment sitting nearby while they decide if they trust me. I keep their routine steady and make sure they have everything they need to feel safe. Little by little, they usually warm up once they realize Iām patient, predictable, and there to make them feel at ease.

Stephanie was absolutely amazing. She watched my cat for 1 week, and she went above and beyond every day! I felt so safe with her in my home, and by the extensive photos and videos, I could tell my cat was in heaven with her. I consider her a cat whisperer! She is an excellent communicator, always responding promptly. I appreciated her sweeping the litter around the box (without me asking) and her creativity/humor in photos/videos she sent me. Cannot recommend her more!

Sheās gentle, patient, and has this calm vibe that even my shy boy FĆgaro couldnāt resist and he usually acts like he pays rent and doesnāt have to talk to anyone. Iād check my home camera and see him cuddled up next to her like theyād been best friends for years. Sheās super reliable, keeps you updated without overwhelming you, and somehow makes the whole process completely stress-free. Honestly, if youāre lucky enough to book her, your cat might love her more than you.. but like in the best way lol

Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Bronx cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $32.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
