I’ve been around them my whole life and still have the joy of living with my two childhood cats—one is 19 and the other is 14—so I have lots of experience caring for cats of all ages and personalities.
I know that every cat is different, and I always take the time to get to know them on their terms—whether they’re playful, shy, or just want a quiet companion. I’m gentle, attentive, and make sure to follow your routine closely so your cat feels safe and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m here to make sure they’re comfortable, cared for, and happy until you’re back home.

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?
My experience with cat sitting is rooted in a lifetime of caring for cats. It started when I was young and asked my mom for a cat. She told me I could only have one if I proved I was ready to take care of another life. So I did my research, wrote up a full plan on how to care for a cat, and presented it to her. That was the beginning of what’s now been nearly 20 years of hands-on experience. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of caring for my two cats—one is now 19 years old and the other is 14. Through them, I’ve gained deep, everyday experience in everything from kitten care to senior cat support. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for friends’ and neighbors’ cats when they’ve traveled. My current roommates have cats who I also take care of whilst they are away.
What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
What I enjoy most about cat sitting is getting to know each cat’s unique personality. Some cats are shy and reserved, while others are full of energy and curiosity—and I love that no two are ever the same. It’s always a fun and rewarding experience to build trust with each cat in their own way and to learn what makes them feel comfortable, happy, and safe. That sense of discovery and connection is something I truly look forward to with every new cat I meet.
Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?
One of my favorite cat sitting experiences was for my upstairs neighbor, who had a very shy and timid cat. He was small and permanently stunted in growth—despite being nearly 15 years old, he looked like a kitten. He was afraid of everything: loud noises, voices, music—even footsteps. She asked me to care for him while she was away for a week, and I knew it would take a very gentle approach. At first, he stayed hidden almost the entire time. But little by little, he began to come out—just for a few seconds at a time—for quick head rubs or to peek around the corner while I refilled his food. I kept my voice soft, my movements slow, and gave him space. By the end of the week, he was actually coming out to greet me when I arrived, even walking up for gentle pets. I felt so accomplished!

Trinity is truly the best pet sitter. She's thorough in her meet and greet and very communicative when she arrives and leaves. I had gone overseas for some time and she took very good care of my little Miso. Holiday Surcharge
Due to high demand during holidays, sitters on Meowtel have the option to set their own holiday price increase, which can be found in the rates section of their profiles. If your reservation falls within three (3) days before and/or after a federal holiday, or on the holiday itself, a holiday surcharge, determined by your sitter, will be added to your reservation.
These are the date ranges in 2026 to which the holiday surcharge applies:
- January 1-4: New Year's 2026
- January 16-22: MLK Day
- February 13-19: Presidents Day
- May 22-28: Memorial Day
- June 16-22: Juneteenth
- July 1-7: July 4th
- September 4-10: Labor Day
- October 9-15: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day
- November 8-14: Veterans Day
- November 23-29: Thanksgiving
- December 22-28: Christmas
- December 29-31: New Year's 2027

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Trinity is the sweetest soul to exist. My cat loves when Trinity comes over to watch him; showering her in his affection- which is sometime he isn't quick to do to many people. I think he just sensed her kind nature from the beginning. She is beyond patient with my old cranky kitty and he always loves to talk to her. I never have to worry about him when Trinity is watching him as she always makes sure to update me about EVERYTHING. I am truly blessed to have a friend like Trinity who acts as I do when I'm with my kitty. She is a beautiful soul. I make sure to recommend her to all my friends with kitties, as I'd want them to all experience her sweetness with animals.
