Cat Sitting in Brooklyn, NY

Introduce me to my new boss!

I’ve been cat sitting for several years now, caring for cats at just about every stage of life—from weeks-old kittens to elderly teens who need a little extra attention. As a cat dad of two myself, including a senior cat with more involved care needs, I know how much trust it takes to leave your cat and your home with someone new. I’ll treat your cat with the same care I’d want for my own.

Funny enough, I grew up in a dog family—my mom bred Portuguese Water Dogs. That all changed in 2015, when we found a tiny, 3-week-old kitten outside our home. We named him Loki, a white Siamese with bright blue eyes, and quickly fell in love with everything weird and wonderful about cats.

Since then, cats have become a huge part of my life...

Since then, cats have become a huge part of my life. In addition to pet sitting, I volunteer weekly with Brooklyn Animal Action at its cat adoption center at PetSmart on Atlantic Avenue, caring for cats with all kinds of personalities and backgrounds. That experience has taught me one of the most important parts of cat care: patience. I’m happy to give shy or nervous cats the time and space they need to trust me rather than forcing interaction.

I’m comfortable following detailed feeding and care routines, administering medications, cleaning litter boxes, handling the occasional cat-related mess, and providing plenty of playtime and affection when wanted. I’m also meticulous about cleanliness—I keep litter and feeding areas tidy, clean up after the cats throughout my stay, and want you to come home to a space that feels just as clean and cared for as when you left.

Whether your cat is social, shy, dramatic, independent, elderly, tiny, or somewhere in between, my goal is simple: keep them comfortable, safe, and cared for while giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have two gals to come home to every day. I got my tabby Tuna in 2020 and she eats most of Melo's food, which is for seniors because Melo was born in 2012.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Communication is the key! The more a sitter knows about you and your furry child, the better. That way there are no surprises for the sitter and you won't get bothered while you're away. You'll only get epic pics of your pets.

What is your favorite cat toy?

Laser pointer, bar none. Nothing says “bonding” like making your cat question reality. I also like when cats like random things in your house. Mine are obsessed with Q-tips and hair ties.

Will was the absolute best care taker for our Jojo - not only did he provide great updates and get her to take two meds per day, but we ran into some of her health issues while away and Will went truly above and beyond to help us and her out. I am so grateful for his compassion and won’t forget it!

Highly recommend Will as your next sitter! One of my cats was in recovery from her spay surgery, and Will made sure to give her extra care and make sure she was healing properly. I received lots of pictures while I was away, and he was extremely responsive to my messages.

Always happy to leave our cats in Will's care! When our return got delayed by the winter storm, Will was able to extend our reservation and braved the cold to check on our kiddos.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

Brooklyn cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
