As a hobby, I spend my time searching for & visiting cat cafes to work, study, or volunteer since I’m unable to own any cats or pets at the moment. I love animals so I’d love to help care for other people’s fur-babies. I also spend some free time searching for and feeding stray cats in hopes I can be chosen by the cat lottery one day. I love cats 🐾—everything from characters (especially Mofusand), prints, media, and 1-on-1 interactions!

Every cat has a personality and different experiences that I love to learn about. To me, cats are all about empathy, patience, gentleness, observation, & understanding. Cats have boundaries and needs just like us.

I always love capturing cute, sweet, or silly moments while sharing detailed stories of my time spent with your furbabies. I try to highlight their unique personalities based on what I’ve grown to learn about them over time. 🤍
Scheduling Note: I’m based in Flushing, Queens but willing to travel further if scheduled at least a week in advance & if it’s for multiple visits (preferably no single-visit bookings for locations far from me)! I prefer to avoid high traffic times, but I’ll always do my best to schedule & make it out there :)
If I have any dates unavailable that you may need or need me last-minute, feel free to message me before sending a reservation request! I may be able to open & move my schedule around for you to book me as long as I’m able to arrive safely and on time.
Side Note: I’m new to NYC from FL and I’m still learning transportation, areas, & safety in NYC. For safety reasons, I may have my boyfriend with me for the free first intro meeting. I will be sure to let you know if he will be with me and I will ask if you prefer to have him to wait at a cafe nearby while I do my visits!

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?
I enjoy taking my time to learn about and understand the personality and behaviors of each cat! I feel cats are very misunderstood and have a lot of stigmas behind them, but to me it’s just all about empathy and understanding with them. They have boundaries and needs just like any other being.
How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?
I have a very observant eye and stay mindful of the environment or surroundings. I’m very proactive person so I like to make sure their environments are properly clean, put away, or clear so that both the cat and the home are safe. I tend to closely monitor cats if I notice they are on the move or active, while giving them their space if they are relaxing or sleeping.
Are you usually available during holidays?
Unavailable for all of December since I am usually back home in FL for the holidays. However, I should be available all other holidays in the year but will turn off my availability if I’m not free.
How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?
I try not to startle them with any sudden moves and avoid trying to pet them right away since they are scared or cautious of me. I like to sit on the floor or crouch down to their level and gentle leave my hand out or let them come to me when they are comfortable. If they give me the cue that they are comfortable being pet, then I will try give them a gentle head or back pet or even a scratch behind the ears. I will not force anything with the cat if I notice it’s scared or anxious of me! An extra step I sometimes do, is speak their body language by slow blinking my eyes to show that I’m not a threat, but am safe and affectionate towards them!

This was our first time having a cat sitter, so we were a bit nervous, but so happy we got to work with Jasmine! Jasmine was super responsive and took lots of notes during our meet and greet. She sent us very detailed updates each time she stopped by, with confirmation of when she will be stopping by, how Onyx was, photos of the food and water bowl, updates on specific requests we had, and of course photos and videos of Onyx, which we very much appreciated. My sister is a cat sitter and was even impressed by Jasmine’s level of detail in her daily updates. And most importantly, Onyx warmed up to Jasmine and loved her - Onyx was waiting at the door for Jasmine during her visits! That was a very pleasant surprise as Onyx has been quite the sassy old lady at her age, and doesn’t often do that for our friends who used to watch her.

Jasmine is a great sitter, I highly recommend hiring her! she was very responsive, took detailed notes of feeding/ cleaning schedule and getting into our building. she was very relabible, arrived on time to both visits and was very communicative if she was experiencing any delays. Jasmine was so perfect, I would recommend her to anybody who needs a cat sitter! She was thoughtful, diligent, and the cats really loved her! She spent time and care to understand how to care for them and she's the type of person to go the extra mile. This was our first time with a cat sitter and we were extremely anxious at first but Jasmine did fantastic, sending photos and videos daily, and doing everything to care for our three kitties!!

Jasmine is new to catsitting but it feels like she’s done this before! She took amazing care of our fur babies while we were out of town for five days. She was very attentive and detailed with her updates throughout the day. She sent plenty of photos and even some videos. She was there every morning to give them breakfast and made sure they had everything they needed (cleaned litter box, filled water fountain and even vaccumed up any litter on the ground) before she left each day. Jasmine went above and beyond with taking care of our fur babies and I will definitely book with Jasmine again in the future!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Flushing cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
