On the weekends I spend my time at Animal Haven animal shelter in SoHo, volunt... Hello! My name is Abby and I have been a cat owner for 3 years now. I got my first cat Benny in 2020, and I just recently adopted a second adult cat from the shelter. I do not have experience with injections/ eye or ear drops, but one of my cats has had seizures, so I am used to giving him daily medication in a pill pocket. Also, one of my prior clients needed a topical ointment, so i have experience with that.
On the weekends I spend my time at Animal Haven animal shelter in SoHo, volunteering with the cats. I help with their food, cleaning their rooms, and socializing them for adopters. I also help restock litter, food, and blankets.
I graduated from Pace University in May of 2022, and currently live on my own. I do Payroll for the Mets M-F, 9-5. I have plenty of free time after work and on the weekends, and am hoping to make some side money for my student loans.
I am looking forward to creating a comfortable and loving presence for your cats while you are away ! :)

Abby is an amazing and flexible sitter - best service I have ever used! Abby is always on time and follows all care directions carefully. She responded within the day and set up a meet and greet on the same day! Great attention to detail - She went above and beyond to make my two cats feel cared for and happy, even if that means spending extra time to play and interact with them. I have two rescue cats who are very shy and anxious - but my cats who warmed up to her very quickly and I know they were grateful to have someone looking after them! Following my trip, it was evident that they were happy, well-cared for, and content - they did not display any usual signs of separation anxiety so that in itself is a testament to what a great job Abby did making them feel loved and cared for! Again, such a reliable, knowledgeable, flexible, trustworthy, and communicative sitter. I recommend her for ANYONE looking for a sitter in the short and the long term. If you need a sitter that you KNOW will take amazing care of your precious fur babies while keeping you updated, then Abby is your go to! she is the ONLY pet sitter I will be coming back to! :) my kitties thank you for the wonderful care!

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Jackson Heights cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
