I’ve been working as a cat sitter on Meowtel for over a year and have hands-on experience caring for seven cats with different personalities and needs. I’ve built strong relationships with both cats and their owners. One of my regular clients books me almost every month, and other clients often reach out to me for advice about cat care, even when they don’t need a sitting service. I’m experienced in feeding, litter box cleaning, grooming, nail trimming, and playtime. Cats tend to feel comfortable around me, and I always respect their individual personalities and boundaries. I genuinely love cats and take pride in providing patient, reliable, and attentive care.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

What I enjoy most is simply being around cats. Even if they’re not sitting next to me, just sharing the same space with them makes me happy. Of course, when a cat chooses to come closer, cuddle with me, or even curl up on my lap, it makes my day even better! I love those little moments of trust, and I’m always happy to stay a little longer so they can keep resting comfortably. To me, spending time with cats is genuinely one of the most peaceful and rewarding things in life.

Can you tell us about your favorite cat sitting reservation?

My favorite reservation was caring for a cat for two months. She loved affection, waited for me at the door, and we formed a close bond, almost like good friends.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a cat sitter?

Cats are often more attached to their owners than we realize. Although they may seem independent or aloof, they form deep emotional bonds with their humans. Many cats can even recognize their owner’s footsteps and familiar sounds! Research suggests that cats can form secure attachments to their caregivers, much like young children do. This means that being away from their favorite person can sometimes be stressful. My advice is to choose a cat sitter who offers more than just feeding and cleaning. A patient, gentle sitter who takes the time to build trust, provide companionship, and offer affection when welcomed can help your cat feel safer and more comfortable while you’re away. Even simply sharing a quiet space with your cat can make a meaningful difference.

I start by confirming care details and routines with the cat parent, follow all instructions carefully, and provide photo updates after each visit.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I always follow the cat parent’s instructions, ensure doors and windows are secure, keep the home tidy, and prioritize the cat’s safety during every visit.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am usually available during most holidays and will update my availability in advance if I have any schedule changes.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I move slowly, respect the cat’s space, and allow them to approach at their own pace while following the owner’s instructions carefully.
