I have been a cat lady for decades! It all started when my family's first cat simply waltzed through the front door and decided he wanted to live with some cool humans, back in 1998. Ever since then, we became a fully fledged cat FAMILY.
Living with multiple cats certainly has it's crazy moments, and I've learned how to train cats to obey some basic commands that ultimately lead to better understanding/communication. I also have a lot of experience administering cat medication via oral syringe and pill pockets, as well as topical ointments for rashes or injuries. I even once had the pleasure of raising a litter of newborn kittens!
I have a lot of experience with animals in general... My Story:

I have a lot of experience with animals in general. I worked at Unleashed by Petco as a team lead back in 2011. I received full training on pet nutrition and health as part of my employment. I also learned details on how to properly handle different types of animals, and how to interpret animal signals correctly.
Finally, I have to share that I am absolutely obsessed with taking pet photos! My full time job is in digital marketing and social media content creation, so I'm great with a camera and capturing those special moments. Cats usually warm up well to me, and I shamelessly strive to be the Mary Poppins of cat sitting, much like Jackson Galaxy (my hero, the star of My Cat From Hell).
Neighborhoods in Queens (Forest Hills to Astoria) and UES are ideal for me, and I'm generally available outside of the 9-5 working hours. I am also able to work remotely so my schedule is extremely flexible!

we couldn’t have been any luckier booking Debbie to look after our senior cat Window for 4 days. From the meet and greet to the last visit before our return, everything went incredibly smoothly and we could tell from the start that our kitty would be spoiled and taken care off. Debbie administered her medicine twice a day, entertained her with cat tv and sent us updates, with photos, after each visit. it’s hard to leave your cat and your house to someone new but I’m glad we chose Debbie the cat lady. We will definitely book her again for any travel we do in the future!

Debbie was great! She arrived at our apartment to meet the cats and was very friendly and professional. She was engaged with our instructions and made us feel very comfortable leaving our special boys with her. While we were traveling Debbie regularly sent us pictures and updates on our cats. Debbie stayed with our cats and made sure that they were having a great time! When we returned home she left us a wonderful card and printed out BEAUTIFUL photos of our cats, it was incredibly sweet. All this to say we will certainly be using Debbie again in the future!

Debbie is terific. The cat and litter and food and apartment were left in pristine condition. Her photos of William cat were of excellent quality and relieved my apprehension about leaving William. She is VERY good with cats and William, who can be shy, apparently loved her. I really recommend Debbie if you love your cat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:
- More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
- 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
- Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.
All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.
Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

Forest Hills cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $30.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.
Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a free Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

I’m so glad I had Debbie as a cat sitter! I’ve never booked anyone through an app before and was nervous until I met her. It was clear she adores cats and will go beyond expectations to make sure they’re well taken care of. she was really communicative and consistent the whole time, so I never had to worry about how my cats were doing. I will for sure be booking her again, and while my cats needs are relatively simple, I would recommend her for all levels of cat caring needs as she seems ready for anything!
