I was asked by the family member to cat sit for them and I loved it! Since then I have done it many times and have learned a lot about cat behavior. I follow the cat's lead and meet them where they are. I know the cat may be anxious so I speak calmly and move slowly so they are not startled. If they meow at me, I meow back at them. I send photos to my clients to reassure them that their fur baby is doing well.

What do you enjoy most about cat sitting?

I enjoy spending time with cats and caring for them. They are so smart! I also like giving peace of mind to cat parents who trust me to care for their kitties while they are away. You can rest assured that you will get plenty of updates and photos while I am caring for your fur baby.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

I have one cat. Her name is Rosie. She is beautiful and is very entertaining. We meow at each other.

Are you usually available during holidays?

I am very flexible and don't mind being available during holidays. I know a lot of people travel around holidays.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I speak calmly and move slowly so as not to startle them. I offer treats and pets. I read their body language and meet them where they are.

Kim is an amazing cat sitter! She is trustworthy, punctual and responsible. I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Kim sent updates and multiple photos each day. It was so nice to relax on vacation and not have to worry about our kitty. We came home to a spotless house and a very happy cat. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a cat sitter — I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
