Hi! I’m Myryah, a professional NYC-based cat sitter providing reliable, in-home cat care throughout Upper Manhattan. I primarily serve Harlem, the Upper West Side, and the Upper East Side, including Morningside Heights, Manhattan Valley, Yorkville, Lenox Hill, and East Harlem. My goal is to provide stress-free care that keeps cats comfortable in their own homes while their humans are away.

I have over 20 years of experience caring for cats of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I grew up with cats and learned early how unique each feline personality can be—from energetic kittens to senior cats who thrive on routine, familiarity, and a gentle approach.

I’ve worked with cats of every personality type through volunteering with the Atlanta Humane Society and currently foster with the ASPCA. This experience has given me extensive hands-on practice caring for shy, timid, and foster cats, reading feline body language, and adjusting my care style to help cats feel safe and secure.

I’m experienced in administering oral medications, supporting cats recovering from illness or surgery, and providing attentive senior cat care. If your cat requires medication, monitoring, or extra patience, you can trust that they’ll be in calm, capable hands.

During each visit, I focus on maintaining your cat’s normal routine—feeding schedules, litter box care, enrichment, and companionship. Whether your cat enjoys interactive play, window watching, or simply quiet company, I tailor my care to their individual preferences.

I know how important trust and communication are when choosing a cat sitter. You can expect regular photo updates, detailed check-ins, and clear communication throughout your time away.
If you’re looking for a dependable Harlem, Upper West Side, or Upper East Side cat sitter, I’d love to connect. I’m happy to care for kittens, adults, seniors, and shy or independent cats.

Learn More About Myryah

What is your experience with cat sitting, and how long have you been doing it?

Outside of raising my own cats, I’ve spent over 8 years formally fostering and cat sitting. From kittens and nursing moms to shy seniors and post-surgery snugglers, I know how to keep cats comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away.

Do you have kitties yourself? What are their names?

My two childhood cats, Nipsy & Pudin', have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but I like to believe they're somewhere making sure my foster kitties are placed in happy furever homes.

How do you ensure the safety & security of the cats and the home while cat sitting?

I treat both your cat and your home with the utmost respect and the same care I would my own. For cats, that means sticking to their routines, double-checking food, water, and litter, and making sure doors and windows are always secure. I pay close attention to their behavior so I can catch any signs of stress or issues early. For your home, I’m careful with keys and entry, keep everything tidy, and will follow any instructions provided. Communication is a big part of safety, so I send regular updates and photos so you always know how things are going. My goal is for you to feel at ease knowing both your kitty and your home are safe, secure, and well cared for.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love bringing out a cat’s playful side with wand toys! Every cat has their own unique style—some are high-flying jumpers, while others prefer to stalk and pounce with precision. Playtime is one of my favorite ways to connect because you really get to see their personalities shine through.

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

That’s okay! I can be shy around new people, too. It’s important to let cats warm up on their own time and let them set the pace with the interactions. If they’re eating and using the litter box, it’s okay if they don’t want to spend a lot of time around me. I won’t be too crushed. I’ll continue to make sure their needs are met and be ready for a slow introduction if they come out to play or socialize.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.

If it doesn't feel like a purrfect fit after a Meet & Greet or during a reservation, our support team is here to help at 1-844-Meowtel (1-844-636-9835). We'll take time to understand what happened and help you consider next steps, which could include help with a new reservation.

New York cat sitting rates will vary based on the sitter's experience and services, but the average price is $31.00. Prices depend on visit duration (20, 45, or 60 minutes) and whether you need drop-in visits or overnight stays.

Every cat sitter on Meowtel completes a background check. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet so you (and your kitties!) can feel comfortable with your sitter before you leave.

Cats are territorial animals and don't do well in new environments. The presence of other cats, dogs, and even birds in kennels or animal hotels cause an immense amount of stress. This is why Meowtel was created, so tailored in-home care is brought to you.

We recommend booking daily visits to keep your cats in their routine and help minimize feline anxiety while you're away.

Each visit typically includes: feeding, refreshing water bowls, litter box scooping, tidying up, medications, updates with photos, lots of playtime, and any special requests. Ask your sitter about a Meet & Greet!
