She could have gone to many other houses, but I think she knew that she would have the best home with us. Ever since then, I’ve loved cats and spending time with them.

I’ve helped roommates socialize newly adopted cats who needed time to adjust, but I’m also great with cats who need lots of attention and love. I love to send pictures and updates, and I’m happy to work with any requests or concerns!

What is your typical process for working with a new cat parent?

I ask them how their cat typically is with strangers and make sure I follow any advice they have about how to best care for their kitty. I make sure I know all of the important information surrounding medicine, food, and emergency vet care. I also ask how often they would like updates and pictures and follow that so they feel comfortable and know I’m taking great care of their cat.

What is your favorite cat toy?

I love anything attached to a string! It’s the most active toy for the cat, and I love that you can also play with their hunting instincts by keeping it still for a few moments before making it go crazy again!

How do you handle cats that are particularly timid or anxious?

I sit on the floor and give them the time and space to approach me. I keep my voice quiet and level to ensure they feel comfortable approaching me. I also utilize any tips left by the owner and combine favorite treats and toys to coax them out.

Anastasia was very attuned to my cat and responded according including play and adjustments to her food. Her reports were specific about Tansy and what had done on each specific day. Food bowls, kitty litter and toys were left very tidy.

Anastasia was amazing! She gave detailed updates, photos, and videos and was clearly dedicated to making sure Disco was as happy as could be while I was gone! She clearly cares and is very knowledgeable about cats, and that care showed throughout Disco’s time with her. Anastasia did a great job with our senior cat. Anastasia asked lots of great questions and advance to make sure she had all the needed information, including questions that I hadn't fought to ask myself. she was diligent with her notes and follow-ups, and made sure the cats area was clean and tidy. I can tell our cat liked her from the video she sent. I'll absolutely book her again.

Reservations officially begin at 12:00 AM in the sitter's time zone on the start date. Cat Parents may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund, as long as the reservation has not yet started. After the first 24 hours, the following cancellation rules apply:


  • More than 48 hours before the reservation start date: Full refund. The sitter will not receive any earnings.
  • 24–48 hours before the reservation start date: 50% refund. The sitter will earn 50% of their planned earnings.
  • Within 24 hours of the reservation start date (or after it has begun): No refund. The sitter will earn 100% of their planned earnings.

All refunds are initially applied to the Cat Parent's Meowtel Account Balance for use toward a future reservation or tip. Funds may be returned to the original payment method at any time.

Meowtel is a marketplace that connects cat parents with independent sitters. For eligible reservations booked and paid for through Meowtel, the Meowtel Promise explains how we support cat parents if something unexpected comes up.
